Pirrari the smugler.......who?

Wanted for a long time now to make a small topic about this helper and well, here it is. You see, I doubt many people use her, unless they are really desparate, and that because of the.... 35% less steal.....er, expenses for her gas, food etc!!!

So if I want her help to sell stolen goods, she also has to.... steal from me or no deal, right? Honesty among thieves and all. Seriously now, I don't see what the guy who put this was thinkin! It's pure mockery in the face of all players.

I use all of my helpers but never her, and for very good reason, same reason as all other players who do not... unless as i said earlier... I am desparate, and that can be... MAYBE once in a year.

So... how exactly is she supposed to help us by.. robbing us blind through "tax"???...

Dat kajit has no wares but has long hands, beware...

Had mine since she was introduced, way back when, and I bet I've used her no more then 8 - 10 time in that time frame. Bit of a waste of my Crowns really.

Didn't she belong to the Thieves Guild dlc?

You got her for free at the end of the thieves guild questline. No crowns wasted, unless you meant on the thieves guild DLC.

I've also only used her a handful of times.

She is a reward assistant, the tax is because she offers the convenience of not having to go into town with a bounty and risk losing everything if you get caught. It makes sense since she is part of the Justice system which has risk versus reward structure.

I use her all the time!

She's there for me whenever I need a quick dump of stolen items from my inventory amd I'm in no mood to track down an Outlaw Refuge to unload items from my inventory. Usually towards the end of a gaming session where one of my non-thiefy toons stumbled upon a few Thieve's Troves along the way and I'm not concerned about the fencing allotment for the day.

    She's very convenient that way.

[edit] And worth noting that if you have Haggling IV from Thieves Guild, and Infamous from CP gree tree, it's a wash and you get 100% of the loot value.
[edit2] apparently not. but she's still convenient to have.

I have Pirharri the Smuggler unlocked from doing the Thieves Guild quests and rarely use her. I believe that if ZOS removed the 35% fee that it would encourage more players to do the Thieves Guild quests to unlock her.

I call on her services frequently.

I don't care if she takes a cut of the fence price; she's there for me when I want her to be. The only fence not afraid of being above ground.

As soon as I figured out she cannot fence launder, I permanently put her away.

Edit: I meant launder of course as @Necrotech_Master kindly pointed out. :)

I use her to offload items quickly when doing those stealing endeavors. We also get a 10% bonus from a Thieves Guild skill so it's -25%. Maybe if I did thieving stuff more often I would mind more.

And 25% from the Infamous CP passive. So it's a wash.

    i think you mean launder

fence = selling items, which is her only function lol

for the OP: i usually use her when im powerleveling legerdemain skill line, i rack up tons of low value items to fence which i can do while im farming instead of going out to a outlaw refuge

a 35% cut is meaningless on 1 gold items, such as stolen provisioning ingredients (such as killing sheep in khenarthis roost), but you get the same amount of legerdemain exp (1 xp per fence/launder, regardless of the value of said item)
    plays PC/NA
    handle @Necrotech_Master
    active player since april 2014

i have my main house (grand topal hideaway) listed in the housing tours, it has multiple target dummies, scribing altar, and grandmaster stations (in progress being filled out), as well as almost every antiquity furnishing on display to preview them

feel free to stop by and use the facilities

That edit is not correct. Check the actual math in game.

    It is not 100% - 35% + 25% + 10% = 100%

It is 100% * 65% for her cut.

It is 100% * 135% for the bonuses.

    For all three it is 100% * 65% * 135% = 87.75%

    vel9af8q1wol.jpg

(She offers 219 gold for a 250g blue treasure, meaning the 87.75% doesn't round to 88%, which would have produced a sell value of 220g.)

Just to be clear, Pirrari isn't a companion.

I've never bothered to get her. She might be useful for 'entourage players'.

Free port to the house in Rwal'kha, fence and launder at the thieves guild. Jobs a good 'un.

The gold means nothing, but sometimes there's something I want to launder, so Pirrari isn't worth it.

If I need a fence I just port to Stone Eagle and use the refuge entrance next to my living room.

If I'm at a place with lots of items to steal and my inventory is full, I use Pirharri to sell off the cheap items (getting 2 gold less or so doesn't make a big difference) and refill my pockets with even more stolen goods. Repeat until building is empty. Makes more sense than leaving for a thieves den if there's still lots of loot left in the house.

That doesn't wash since there are entrances to outlaw hideouts that are outside of many town away from all guards. Alik'r, Stonefalls....

I’ve used her relatively often. Usually when there is a Steal/Pickpocket Endeavor and I’m out of inventory space halfway through. My time is valuable and I’d rather take the gold hit than sit through multiple load screens (port to town -> load into the Outlaw Refuge -> port back after fencing everything). For big hauls I’ll take the time to port back, or if I have things I want to fence too.

I have Pirharri the Smuggler for free after completing Thieves Guild quests. I put her in my houses for convenience and to add a bit of outlaw flavor. In my RP she does adore collecting stolen backpacks & bags.

Her cut is a convenience fee. I'm sure everyone would appreciate if it were more like, 10% instead.

I use Pirrari occasionally for reasons that are all linked to convenience. I wish she could launder items. That'd be peachy.

She's not the most useful, but can be handy in certain circumstances.

Such as if you're grinding out daily Fence caps to level Legerdemain and are on a theiving spree and don't want to trek all the way to a refuge just to dump your stolen goods.

Or you have a bounty and just want to pay a guard instead of trying to go to a refuge and simply want to get some value from your stolen goods rather than have them taken away.

Of course, her main issue is the fact that she can't Launder. Which is really annoying.

I'd pay 100% tax for laundering items very happily if that was available.
