ESO Oddities

I think ESO is a great game, but like all games oddities and inconsistencies pop up. Today, I noticed that the furnishing item Breton Urn, Striated is made at an Enchanting Station under Hearth, but Breton Urn Lid, Striated is made at a Blacksmithing Station under Undercroft when trying to find the perfect chamber pot for Seabloom Villa. I guess I can sacrifice two slots for the perfect chamber pot! 🤣

Now I'm wondering if the use of Breton urns as chamber pots and the necromancy problem in the Wayrest sewers are somehow related.

(I know that this Breton urn might not be a funerary urn).

This is why we need a furniture crafting station. It's time consuming having to run from station to station and check multiple categories to craft one item.

Now that would be a very welcome addition to the game.

And a proper furniture catalogue in game, so I don't have to keep multiple tabs open to browse for furnishings bought in various zones, or obtained through many different sources, like crafting or antiquities or drops or vendors.
Though Uesp and the other sites do a really nice job of it, dividing things into categories and writing details and so on.

I have a theory that many palyers don't understand how these objects arrive into the world, either at the Guild hall, or in a Guild trader to purchase for their own home.

Now seems a good time to ask:
    Do you buy your own?
Or wait for your guild to do it?

(for clarity, I'm using this highlight that generating the 1000 or 1200 Writ Vouchers to buy this, is actually a lot of work initially).

I like the idea of a furniture crafting station. Of course the furnishings could still require the same crafting skills, materials etc. they do now but it would be very helpful to be able to have them all grouped together. Ideally I'd like them sorted by type as well so if I'm looking to make a table I can see all the tables I know how to craft and more easily choose between them.

I may have misunderstood your post but are you implying that ZOS should not create a furniture crafting station just because it would cost players time and gold/mats to unlock it?

That seems like a very strange 'problem' to bring up, obviously anything new to the game will need to be unlocked in some way, but that doesn't mean they shouldn't add new things or that players would be annoyed at having to do that.

It would be better if they implemented actual guildhalls as well though, in my other MMO getting new items for the hall is a collaborative effort for the whole guild. In ESO the nearest equivalent is passing the guild leader master writs and materials but they still have to go through the whole process by themselves.

I buy my own as the only guild I will ever be in is Beam Me Up, and while a couple of their member guilds have a "guild hall" with all the sets, as it happens the member guilds I'm in on my 4 accounts don't. And while I really don't need all the sets, there are a fair few that I find I get writs for quite frequently, and they're in places I hate having to go to, or hate having to kill stuff to get to.

So I saved up master writ vouchers to buy all the Master stations for 3 accounts myself. Sure, it's slow for an individual, but that's fine - the XP itself was worth the effort, not to mention having only 4 stations instead of many.

If the furniture "master station" is ever offered, and is the same or similar "writ value" I'd do the same again as I did for the others. I also bought the Transmute Station and Scribing Station with writ vouchers.

This for me would be an excellent furnishing improvement. There is an overload of available craftable furniture which increases continuously, a dedicated furniture crafting station would be very welcome.
