Touching Grass – it's really nice and we need some for housing

This might be an unusual thing to appreciate, but I love the grasses in ESO's Tamriel.
ZOS environment artists do wonderful work.

I love making natural environments housing, and always wish we could place these low-impact grasses as non-furnishings (e.g. painting-in, kind of like in The Sims) rather than using up dozens of slots with Hedge, Overgrown Long (and so on; IYKYK). (Oh, and large bodies of water too, of course.)

Ha! Interesting. Title was just a joke. Here (and online generally) it means to go outside because you've been on the internet too much (and may be developing some overly-online opinions or attitudes / out of touch with reality a bit).

On that note I saw that some of the red shrubbery from West Weald will be coming as a furnishing in U44! I don't flatter myself that it's thanks to this post, but I'm just glad we get some of this nice grass. We really need more BIG landscaping items like this. ^___^ thanks ZOS!

Yeah I wish we could use the low-impact grasses ZOS uses as a landscaping tool, rather than taking up furnishing slots

Likewise, I'm tired of having to build several feet off the ground just so the grass doesn't come up through the floor.

Understandable! You can turn it off completely in Settings and ask visitors to also, but that's not satisfactory if you need it in some areas and not others. And with Home Tours you can't suggest visitors anything at all since there's no room or description (which is why I don't use it, for the most part).

Understandable! You can turn it off completely in Settings and ask visitors to also, but that's not satisfactory if you need it in some areas and not others. And with Home Tours you can't suggest visitors anything at all since there's no room or description (which is why I don't use it, for the most part).

i guess that's only a setting on PC?

@LunaFlora it's a basic setting, I presume it's available on console.....

Settings > Video > Grass

Towards the bottom of the list on the video settings page

It's a graphical setting, you can dial back grass, shadows, and stuff like that.

I'm not doing that... what's the point of having something I can run the game on with all the taps wide open if I'm just going to turn all that off?

There is no option to turn off grass on console.

the reason i said "i guess it's only a setting on PC?" is because i know exactly what settings are on consoles due to how short the list is.

It would be really nice if they could make it so console players could transfer their accounts (homes, cosmetics, achievements, crowns, gold, everything) over to PC.

I would prefer that all basic game options that are on PC be added to console as well.

it is undoubtedly easier to make more addons' features and PC exclusive settings part of everyone's base game
