So, I wanna buy ALL of the game and its DLCs... Is there some kind of bundle?

I mean like...

I can be selective with the DLCs and specifically only buy the ones I want. But I feel I should buy all of them for one big purchase... Does ESO have that option? Basically a big purchase that contains all of the DLCs instead of buying one by one? And if I buy this bundle, will I get a discount compared to buying one by one?

Also, are there features, like for example, Companions in general, that are locked behind certain DLCs? Or all features are available in the base game and the DLCs are basically just there to add new areas?

Also, what is paying the subscription for? All I'm after is to play the game in a way that gives me access to all of the important stuff I need to fully enjoy ESO. Do I need to pay the monthly subscription fees for that? Or do I simply buy some in game currency and then purchase from the Crown Store whatever the heck I wanna purchase as long as I have enough in game currency? What am I getting out of the subscription?

Thanks.

If we are talking DLCs only, there are a few triple packs, but generally, you buy them one at a time. I used my eso+ crowns and ingame gold to get every DLC. I can happily not pay ZoS any more money now and still play all the content in the game.

For me, the only major significance in having a sub is the craft bag, but I have 10s of thousands of mats, so it is not like I need to collect more right now. Even if i did, being obsessive with what you collect by setting down basic rules makes you can manage without the craft bag.

Every blue and green item is sold. Only purple is kept. I only generate purple and gold mats from decons. I don't do the daily crafting quests, etc.

This should be the adopted style of play, until they listen to players and stop changing stuff on us for ZERO REASON.

    Thanks pklemming.

A long time ago, I purchased Elder Scrolls Online. I honestly don't remember if I already bought any of the DLCs. I can always redownload the game, but I can't remember if I have any DLCs unlocked. How do I check? In the tutorial, you enter a special room with portal doors into every major DLCs. So, if that place is unlocked, it means I already bought that DLC in the past? Is that how it works? How else can I check?

Seriously, so aside from the craft bag, what am I missing if I don't pay the monthly subscription? What's the point of it?

Look, what do I have to pay for to not feel restricted? That's my main question folks. I don't want to encounter random paywall and then pull my credit card information over and over and over again for more random paywalls when I least expect them. I just wanna know what to purchase to make myself justifiably feel that I won't have to re-grab my credit or debit cards again.

I’m probably not the best at explaining this, but I’m giving it a try. If you bought ESO a long time ago, there have been many chapters and DLCs released since then. The chapters are the big yearly zones and the DLCs are smaller zones and group dungeons. When the latest chapter comes out, every chapter before it becomes a DLC. If you have ESO+, the subscription, all of the DLCs are included in it. The info on what you have unlocked is in Collections under something like Stories.

If you want to catch up in a hurry all at once, you can get the Gold Road Collection and it will get you that content and, I believe, the chapters before it. I have bought them as they come out so I don’t know the exact details. If you want to try out the DLC zones (all except for Gold Road zone I think) and group dungeons, then an ESO+ subscription for a month or two might be a good way to start.

You can see which DLC and Chapter content you already have access to by going to Collections (U), clicking on the second tab or icon at the top of the window (Stories), and then clicking on each item under the three categories on the left (Chapter, Dungeon DLC, and Zone DLC), and for each item look just below the descriptive paragraph under its picture and noting whether it says "Collected" or not.

There's no one shop mega bundle afaik. However if you buy the chapter collection, you'll get all the big chapter dlc. If you want everything else, there are yearly mega bundles you can purchase for the rest of it.

    So you're looking at...

    Gold Road Collector's Edition

    And then

Dark Heart of Skyrim: DLC Bundle
    Gates of Oblivion: DLC Bundle
    Guilds and Glory: DLC Bundle
Season of the Dragon: DLC Bundle
    Year Three Mega-Pack: DLC Bundle
    Year Two Mega-Pack: DLC Bundle

I'm not sure if there's a mega pack for the years of High Isle and Necrom yet.

They gave away some of this dlc, especially with the guilds and Glory DLC, you may want to check what you already own.

You can view what you own in both the in-game crown store (owned dlc will be grayed out) or in your collections menu.

The sub gets you access to all dlc.

Companions are locked behind Blackwood, Necrom, and High Isle. New ones in the crown store (free for ESO+) are coming soon. Major features are mostly locked behind the chapter dlc, with the main exception of Transmute, which is available from the Clockwork City DLC.

So, the chapter collection would be the only one you need to keep access to the main new features of the game. It will probably be on sale soon for Black Friday.

Yeah, there is no single purchase that covers every and all DLC. However, as spartaxoxo said, there is a single Collection purchase that gives you all previously released expansions that grant all the systems like antiquities, scribing, and so on. This purchase is currently called "The Elder Scrolls Online Collection: Gold Road".

In addition to this big bundle, some smaller zone DLC and dungeon DLC need to be purchased from the in-game Crown Store. As someone before me said, some of these are bundled in the Crown Store, others may need to still be purchased individually. ZOS tends to create bundles of the older DLCs after they have been out for a while.

The benefits of ESO plus sub outside of access to all DLC: infinite craft material bag, double furnishing slots in houses, ability to dye costumes any time, double transmute crystal cap, and some bonuses to XP. And ofc, since you get some crowns from the sub, you could buy a bigger sub at first and use the crowns to buy the DLC from Crown Store.
