Suggestion for game developers (PvP balance)

After reading the forum I saw a huge number of messages from players who do not want to play PvP at all. The problem is that there are a lot of such players and their messages are listened to and the PvP component of the game is getting worse and worse.

Nobody read my huge post with figures, facts and arguments. https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/666473/

I will make a short and very correct proposal for developers, which will help solve many problems.

In order to make a balance in the game, it is necessary to select the best PvP players playing duels/Imperial City/Battlegrounds. Cyrodiil is not an indicator, there are 90% of PvE players and very weak ones. The criterion should be hours of play in the duel/Imperial City/Battlegrounds directions, at least 5000, and preferably 10000 for each class separately. I am sure that the Developers have figures on the number of hours and directions of gaming activity. It is necessary to take 10 professional players from each class, compile systematized questionnaires with questions about the strengths of their class, the weaknesses of their class. What strengths of other classes do they see and based on all this data, systematize the results and make changes by class. For motivation in the survey, players can be given a unique mount or 10,000 crowns or at the discretion of the Developers. The opinion of weak players cannot be taken into account. Any player can become strong if he wants. But if you have a weak class, you will never defeat an equal opponent with a strong class.

These measures will help to obtain the most correct information about classes and balance, and make changes based on it.

They already tried this method with the class rep program, but not much came out of it that was substantial. If you want info to reach devs, the best way is to have a buddy buddy on the stream team to feed info. Be careful suggesting any class fixes though, because next thing you know your idea will become a proc set..... ask me how I know.

I read your long post and did not agree with your assessments. When a post gets no traction, that's typically why.

Zos gets the feedback they need from good players to have a decent balance in the game. However, they often do not heed this advice and instead go with their vision of the game.

Honestly, I think the new seige-focused sets will help spur some interest in PVP. Even bad players can be extremely helpful if they know what to do with seige weapons, and the new sets will only make those players more effective. Learning how to seige is actually a great forray into PVP (At least for cyrodil), and can get you in the midst of some intense and awesome battles, and you can make a difference, even if you can't 1vX.

However, its still up to the veteran players to show these newer players how to maximize their effectiveness with seige. Some players don't know what seige to use in various situations, and the game does a poor job in explaining what each seige does best, leaving it up to a player to figure out out via trial and error if they don't have someone teaching them.

For now, it is on guilds to teach newer players how to use seige effectively, but it would also help if each piece of seige had a description that was short and easy to understand what they are for.

I.E.: Firebolt balistas - anti-personnel and anti-seige weapon. Stone Trebuchet - effective against walls and doors.

Your other post is really long. Most people do not have the attention span to read it. A high level TLDR would be helpful and bump your other postback to the top.

    Keep fighting the fight

Did you read the post? Cyrodiil is irrelevant here. In Cyrodiil, due to the number of players, none of this makes sense. It's about dueling, about games with a small number of players in a team. Where every 3-5% of skills and extra buffs decides the game.
