Near the mosaic in the far East of the west Weald there is a gate into Cyrodil. Does this portend some sort of PvE Cyrodil? Why would they put a path and gate if zos doesn’t plan on using it for something.
There is? I haven't seen it yet; now I'll have to go hunt for it!
Back when I finally decided to go to Cyrodiil for the first time, I wanted to go "the most natural way"-- by walking, if possible-- rather than just queuing or using a wayshrine. Being Daggerfall Covenant, I looked at the ESO map of Tamriel and concluded that the gate to Cyrodiil must be in SE Craglorn, so I explored all around that area looking for it.
I eventually realized that the only way to get to Cyrodiil was by queuing. But I've always thought it would be cool if there were a way to get there by foot.

For realism? There have to be normal roads leading to Cyrodiil, after all.

there's gates to Cyrodiil in Reaper's March and Craglorn too.
there's even gates to future zones like the gates to northern Nibenay in Blackwood and the gate to the north in Telvanni Peninsula.
