There's a note about this somewhere in the scholarium (I think near the merchant?), but it's easy to miss.

I don't know if this still works, but while at a mages guild you can collect the script and deposit it into the bank (preferably banker assistant), and then after one second another script will respawn in the same place allowing you to collect it again. As long as the character doesn't have the script in their inventory and hasn't learned the script then it will keep respawning. This will allow you to collect all of the scripts on one character and then transfer them to other characters without having to run each character through all of the mages guilds. Doing this definitely saved a lot of time when collecting all of those scripts!

Yeah... I don't know if it's been patched because it's been a while since I heard about it and done it. And I don't know if it's intended, a bug, or possibly an exploit. It's pretty harmless just transferring the scripts to other characters to save time... But I definitely would not try selling the scripts (if they're still sellable) because that'll likely get someone banned.
