Some PC Controls stopped working

All of a sudden, then I use the M key it will not display a map but rather a zone guide. ESC and the related screens do not work. J does not work. I have rebooted. I tried to verify files on Steam but that button does not work. At this point game is unplayable across three accounts. What do I need to do to fix this?

✭Check if the key bindings got changed by accident. I'm having a similar issue with the Q key to bring up the radial menu. Sometimes it won't work, sometimes it seems like it's lagging and will work eventually and other times it's fine.
I'm also having an issue with the prompt to talk to my companions being missing. Prompts for everything else are fine.
I have repaired the ESO files and it did not fix it. I'm on PC EU with Windows 10 via Steam.Edited by TheImperfect on October 1, 2024 8:20PM1 -

✭✭✭✭✭theres also a few times ive had similar things, but the issue was there was a UI related addon that broke, but not broke enough to cause a UI error
in those instances when keys stop performing expected actions, or menus are not performing expectedly, i usually try a /reloadui
in your case though, if your full rebooting and such, i would go with the other poster and suggest to check keybinds and make sure anything didnt get messed up there
@TheImperfect in your case with the companion prompt missing, could double check if its an addon that prevents interactions with something that could be blocking interacting with them (i know some people would use this to prevent say talking to them when they were trying to jump with a controller, or block interacting with them so they dont get in the way of looting, or for example blocking torchbug interaction to prevent losing rapport with mirri)plays PC/NA

i have my main house (grand topal hideaway) listed in the housing tours, it has multiple target dummies, scribing altar, and grandmaster stations (in progress being filled out), as well as almost every antiquity furnishing on display to preview them

✭Thanks @Necrotech_Master - I will try checking my addons - to be honest a couple of days ago I accidentally kicked the plug socket connecting my computer and knocked my pc off mid game and I think it did mess with one addon so it could be something related to that.

✭Yes I had FOB- Companion helper and all it's settings had been reset to defaults which prevents interactions so that is fully fixed- many thanks @Necrotech_Master !! I saw a message relating to a different addon after the socket incident but forgot about it.1 -
