Cannot loot treasure map

Found a chest in West Weald, looted the chest, found out I had a shadowfen III map already, went to delete it, tried to loot chest again to try not to leave a treasure map in an open chest, cannot loot. I do have a map in my bank but it would be weird if that was the cause. I did delete it and then the game lagged out so I don't know if it got bugged or not in my inventory since I don't have one in my inventory now either. I was able to withdraw from my bank so don't know why that occurred. I'm sorry to anyone who looted that chest and only found a map.

Would solve this issue. Maybe in the next set of updates? It is quite literally the only thing I know of that doesn't stack but at the same time is extremely common.

Just curious, did you delete from your inventory or did you mark as junk and delete?

system seems to deal with these two actions differently.

It was defiantly deleted. I don't mark things as junk. It's an extra step of getting rid of something. Besides, I was able to withdraw the other copy of the map from the bank that I had so the one in the chest defiantly became bugged.

I’ve had this happen occasionally when I’ve had another copy of the map in question either in my inventory, in my bank, or in one of my storage chests.

Most of the time if the map is in the bank or in a storage chest, there is no trouble looting another copy of it.

But if I’ve already got a copy of the map in my inventory, then summon a banker to stow it in the bank, sometimes I keep getting the message about already having a copy of it even though I no longer have it on me.

If you already had it, but were willing to destroy it to take the new one, why not just leave it for the next person?
Yes, I know some people object to this, but it seems like a valid reason.

This is normal behavior in gamepad mode. It's only in keyboard mode that you can double up between the bank and your character's inventory.

I would have to disagree. Since I had someone leave a treasure map for me (probably in the same way) I can tell you from experience: "Oh look a chest....huh its already open (sees a treasure map).....so your telling me that the treasure is in another treasure chest......*sigh*" So I don't like to leave stuff like that for that reason.

I should have stated that I was on ps5 and I don't have an issue having a map in the bank and one map in my inventory. Usually when I delete the map I can usually pick it up from the treasure chest so I still find it strange I wasn't able to do so. But good to know either way.

All in all though it doesn't change the solution to this is just making the maps stackable so I don't need to play inventory management because I didn't feel like going around the zones for 10 to 30 minutes finding all the dirt mounds.
