Group stuck in combat

This was just something I noticed and I am just wondering if anyone ever encountered this issue. I was in West Weald and other players were sharing quests. I asked for an invite to join and tried to get to them with my mount. For some reason though I was in combat.....even though I was at Skingrad with no enemies. I don't really know if its intended to be like this but it made me sprint over to where the group was doing the boss and I ended up missing the spawn. I think this occasionally happens in dungeons too when someone goes through a door and triggers a fight on the other side.

Welcome to eso. If its effecting pve now then maybe theyll fix it in pvp as its been there since day 1.

It has been in PvE since the same time as in PvP

Ill eat my hat then. Never encountered it in pve but i do have a toon that im sure is still stuck in combat somewhere in cyro

Kind of thought about the issue when I saw it the first time. I think it may have something to do with the group leader being in combat since I don't notice it most of the time when I'm preparing for trials (others are kind of running around in other zones). Not too sure on it. Kind of makes it annoying to group up with others in the overland if it is occurring like that.

This has been an issue in PvP for... 7 years now? It is not leaking into PvE so expect a fix soon.

If this bug starts hurting Trials, maybe ZOS might finally do something about it.

They might, but look at how long it took to 'fix' the block bug and that prevented people from doing PvE.

Don't get your hopes too high. In trials sometimes you cannot res after a wipe because everyone still in combat dead on the floor, that bug is around for quite a time now and the only solution is that one by one leave the trial, res outside and then port back.

Multiple threads opened for the last 10 years begging ZOS to fix this. I'm pretty sure they can't fix it so we have asked to just REMOVE it.

Just make it so you can use doors/portals, read hard mode scrolls, and mount up in combat as long as you haven't been hit, done damage, or healed within the last 10-15 seconds. Maybe add a longer cast time to the mount when used in combat. Problem solved.
