[SUGGESTION] Get this que and population under control!

Look right now for DC its 49 min wait 40 people in front of me.

we need to have this que and population under control. Its killing the game's fluidity .
People such as myself just logout when we're over ran by the appearance of hundreds of players at one time.
Especially when we wait a long que to get in and then over ran by what looks like uneven numbers.
Now I don't know if its hundreds because I don't know the actual population that can be held at any one given time.

It sure does look like a large number of people that we can't counter. Every day.

They can massively increase the population caps if they wanted to. Sure, it would take time and money investment on the part of ZOS, but they've done it before, so they couldn't do it again....if they wanted to.

there is also more than 1 campaign too

those 40 people waiting in queue if they just joined one of the more open campaigns, and thats just the one faction you mention, if all of the people waiting in queue joined a different campaign, it would be an almost full campaign with no queue
    plays PC/NA
    handle @Necrotech_Master
    active player since april 2014

i have my main house (grand topal hideaway) listed in the housing tours, it has multiple target dummies, scribing altar, and grandmaster stations (in progress being filled out), as well as almost every antiquity furnishing on display to preview them

feel free to stop by and use the facilities

The caps keep getting lower. ZOS is NEVER going to raise caps at Cyro. IF they do anything it will probably be an equalizing que, which for heavily populated Alliances will mean 100 plus ques. Someone showed a screen shot of 187 que for AD on a discord. That's the price for winning a campaign.

Last campaign I saw a few ques of over 100 on EP too. NOW, it's instant que even in prime time because EP is losing. Problem is "instant que in and instant que out". When I see any PV Door map I leave. If it's all yellow and especially an all red map (my faction) I leave.

With all the CP calculations, different proc set calculations, they can NOT increase CAPS at Cyro. Most ppl wouldn't be able to move, especially with all the ball groups. When I get in or near 2 or 3 ball groups, I get all sorts of problems. Playing solo and to the sides and never running in large herds, I NEVER lag.

    ZOS can NOT raise caps.

You do understand a little bit about business right? MMO's are now a dying market. I'm guessing it is probably still in the Cash Cow for ZOS (and Microsoft). ESO recently ranked 7th in MMO's, which I would consider relatively high market share. You see a stable revenue stream, which is off set by less investment, producing more profit. From what I've seen, ESO's market is not going down. BUT there is the whole MMO market, it's not growing. It's a proven stable market. Smart businesses usually invest in Stars (High growth/high market share). As long as ESO continues to produce profits (NOT just revenue), as a Cash Cow, ESO will get moderate investments. You don't see dying markets revive. A total rework is not going to happen. More servers for a dying market is NOT going to happen. Blizzard recognizes this. Blizz is milking WOW with all these variations, hooking a market of WOW players. ZOS introduces just enough to keep current market base. Another thing is PVP is not a big part of ESO's market and with all the issues is becoming less. You don't invest where there is limited (if any) growth potential.

Yes you can change a server's cap.

Visiting non-homed campaigns offers little incentive for the individual because you do not get end of campaign rewards. Yet, it does help the overall campaign for the faction.

You can get rewards for like taking resources , keeps, outposts. But this again has no end campaign rewards.

You also take a huge cut of 100k to change your home campaign.

I think the functionality of when these are applied should be applied differently to off hours in stead of peak play times.

Once again ZOS could resolve some of the queueing issues if they'd just invest a bit in removing all the AFKing people who sit around all day because they don't want to sit in the queue. A queue they're partially (if not mostly) responsible for exasperating.

But that'd either require them assigning a live person to the issue or implementing an easier way to locate your other faction members on the map. E.G a heat map separated into regions which'd show a color indicator for how many faction members are there.

The latter would make it easier to find clumps of bots to report but it'd also be open to a lot of abuse from certain toxic individuals. Though conversely it'd help all the 'solo' people who want to run to wherever groups of allies are gathered.

You'd still have cross zone trolls and AP Leeches taking up space but at least they're participating. To a certain degree.
