During similar events for the new chapter in past years, the chapter did go on sale. So seems likely.

from past experience zos is usually not able to give out details of sales too far in advance due to behind the scenes stuff happening

I can say with with 80% certainty that it will. It has for all past events. The 20% is because ZOS can change how things work any time that they want, and past events are not a guarantee that future events will be the same.

Still, we've had these events for years and it's always been the case that it went on sale.

they normally do, but for the future, I advise doing it during the Quakecon sale. the discount is a little lower but it gives you enough time to actually play through the chapter before the event starts and the zone is overflowing again.

Just checked - still no announcement on any sale. BUT Microsoft does have the Xbox Gold Road Deluxe Upgrade at 50% off for the next 13 days - at $24.99. Not the regular Gold Road Upgrade - just the Deluxe version.

really? I thought that one was just a standard crown purchase. I don't see how molag bal themed (they would have to be in order to be consistent) fragments could give us that particular house.

The illusion imp isn't actually a servant of Molag Bal. It's an imp a mage trained to look like him. So, it's just themed that way. The Five Companions Haven has the same theme. Honestly imps evolving to houses doesn't make sense in the first place. But, if it's all just themed magic, then that makes more sense than some other house. A mage telling the tale of Molag Bal and The Five Companions.
