✭✭✭Gah! I went through those crates the first day they dropped, and just checked again now, and I saw a bunch of stuff that I didn't see when I checked them the first time, including the motif.
(I was specifically looking for the motif on the first day.)

✭✭3600 Seals for a Crown-exclusive motif is way better and than having to buy or spend Crowns. Those who don't support microtransactions or Crates can get this for free if they've been doing Endeavors. There's literally a free way to earn it lol.
And I find it better than getting a complete Motif from a crate that you can just buy for a few hundred thousand gold, if not less.
It's worthwhile, and 3600 Seals/100 gems is a much better deal than a costume, because it's modular and you get three weights of armor plus weapons. Very worthwhile purchase or drop.
The only downside is that Crates come back several years apart on a schedule where they all compete with each other, so it's more likely to be unavailable for longer than Grim Harlequin or Frostcaster. And if every new Crate came with an exclusive motif, that would be too much IMO.
I bet this motif might show up as a Crown purchase at some point, too.PC-NA

Crown store exclusive motifs are much less, as they are exclusives. Usually in the neighborhood of 2k. Tsaesci was 2200 once, iirc.
The 5-6k prices essentially include a massive convenience fee to skip whatever grind is required to get them in game.1 -

Would not be out of line with everything else in the store: many motives sell for 5000 crowns, mounts for 4000 and houses... You get it - a lot of stuff feels overpriced when you compare it with what else you could get for that money.
You know... You could buy a real hat for less than the price of a hat in some games, so... It's a much boarder discussion, which every time ends with "anyone can do what they want with their money". In the end, I doubt you could buy a 1:1 alive Glimmertarn Ursauk IRL for the same price you can have it in-game XD Sure you could visit a zoo-safari, but still no Glimmertarn Ursauk for you there!

5500 crown pack costs $/€ 35 so a little less.
