Hello!
If you post too many repeating letters, that can sometimes trip the Twitch automod due to "spam". We try to remove these timeouts when we see them, but sometimes chat moves pretty fast.

Who can I speak to about the wrongful ban in the Twitch chat? I simply said "ZOS don't go that route" after the woman announced the nonbinary companion. I have the right to voice my disapproval of developers pushing their political beliefs on me as a paying customer. I was not name-calling or saying anything inappropriate.

You have the right to voice your dissaproval, and ZOS has the right to disapprove of your disapprovel
Freedom of speech is not freedom of consequences.
(And, really? A person just *being* is political? You'd hate what I could tell you about the raging three banner wars and politics, but I digress)

After posting just refresh the page and a small edit icon will appear between your text and the time stamp / post number on the right side.

Non-binary people are NOT political. Non-binary people exist and so do lgbt+ people.

You have the right to voice your opinions just as I have the right to disagree with them.

This case doesn't seem to be a question of whether something exists. Everyone can see that people who call themselves nonbinary exist. There's also no doubt their feelings exist.
The debate is about how serious to take the feelings of other individuals and whether these feelings, if contrary to the physical, should be more important than the physical. There, people have different stances - that is causing the whole argument.
What to do about with that situation? I don't know, really.
Just to add: I'm not anti trans. But I see what is causing the debate.

Factual truths (i.e. whether or not something exists) are not opinions - if I tell a driver to stop because there's a car in front of them and we're about to die, they are outright WRONG if they say "that's your opinion, man".
Whether or not something exists is not a matter of fact, but rather of opinion? Alright then. Playing by your rules, then, I choose to believe this truth is an opinion, and not a fact, and ignore it in favor of knowing you're wrong. Not a fact but I still respect your opinion, though Everyone has one.

As I said, I don't think anyone denies that there are people who feel they are between the sexes, both or neither (or another variant that is not "completely male" or "completely female"). But it's also a fact that a person has a physical sex.
I, personally, tend to prioritize the mind over the body, because the mind is the seat of an individual's personality. Also, I know that intersex conditions exist and it's very much possibly that these conditions also extend to neurology - brain structures, which would be a very physical thing in the end. Also, I'm a polite person, so won't intentionally hurt someone by belittling them over their feelings.
But the opinions about this differ, and there are also other factors that play a role. That's the current situation, and the big question is what to make of it.ragnarok6644b14_ESO wrote: »This is a philosophical debate about epistemology and ontology, more than anything - not a political one.
It's philosophical in its core, but as soon as it affects reality, societal rules and legislation, it also becomes a political one (not in a video game though - in my opinion, that's exaggeration so call the creation of an npc political).
