✭✭✭✭✭You shouldn't build a straight tank. They're basically useless - people will just learn to ignore you.
What you should do is build a health based healer or shielder. Easiest classes to do this on would be Warden, Arcanist, and Necro.
Warden can stack health and Magicka Recovery to spam the scribing shields (Contingency and Soul Burst) as well as Polar Wind.
Arcanist can do the same with the Scribing Shields, and can utilize Gibbering Shelter (scales off of max health) to provide further shields to teammates.
Necro can do something similar, but if they also stack ult cost reduction, they can leverage Ravenous Goliath to skyrocket their health to scale their Scribing shields to ludicrous levels for 20 seconds.5
