How to find missed quests?

So... I am apparently 4 quests short for the Shadowfen achievement.
Every map location is "filled", I went into every dungeon/cave.

I tried looking up online in quest lists and compare notes - but I can not remember all the names of the quests I did complete to check which ones I missed.
How do I find out what is missing?
Is there maybe an addon out there which could help in such a case?
Or now I am screwed, ha?

No add-ons that I'm aware of. Best thing I can say is search on the forum here or on other ESO sites for threads about missing quests in zones. Other than that, keep running around the zones looking for quests. You'll often find random quests in areas that you wouldn't expect to find one.

Do you have all the skyshards? If not, grab a skyshard map marker and then look for them. Thats how I found a bunch of missing quests stumbling across areas of the map I had "thought" I had been to

I find this site helpful with figuring out what I've done and what I've missed: http://teso.mmorpg-life.com/auridon-quest-locations/

I assume you have checked under Journal/Achievements. Great place to find all kinds of things you might have missed to include fishing, skyshards, anchors, etc.

I checked my achievements... that's how I know I am short 4 quests - this information does not really help much.
I did not write down the names of the quests I did complete and the game wont tell me so comparing against online quest lists is... not that helpful either, I already tried that for the last hour.

World bosses, anchors, I have the sky shards (Skyshard addon) and I have the lore books (Lorebook addon); so I am pretty sure I was all over the map. Not one time, many times.

Guess running through the swamps again and again and again will soon become my new favorite skill line. :s
I know, this is not what ppl refer to as "grinding" but... well, if not I dont know what to call it.

I indeed managed to find a missing quest by comparing online lists, but of course not the starting location. Well, at least I had a name so general chat helped me out.
One down. One found, not completed. And it took me over an hour. And honestly I am starting to feel this hour was just wasted.
Whoever designed that "journal" which does not even tell you which quests you have already done needs to be teared and feathered... hard.

    Anyway, ty all.

I had an issue with being done with 50/51 quests in Reaper's March, I had contacted customer service, not to ask if there were any left, but to ask if I had missed my chance to finish 51/51 quests because one of them seemed to lead me to something I finished, so the turn-in npc was no longer there, and I abandoned it.

Anyway, when CS replied back they gave me a list of all the quests I missed in the zone, of course not pointing out where they are, but all that info posted above me helped with that part.

So that information is stored someplace, and they can pull it up and feed it to you. There's little excuse, therefore, for not making that information available in our quest logs. :s

There are definitely refinements to be made, and quest pickups should be pretty high on the list.

The wander around and explore approach is fine when you first enter an area and you are bound to run into a quest no matter which direction you roam. However by the time you are almost finished with an area the chances of just happening across a quest decreases tremendously.

It's like the roomba vacuum bots, sure they'll get most of the floor just randomly traveling to and fro, but there are spots they won't hit one even after going over other parts hundreds of times.

They should either have the quest givers chase you down in town like some already ddo, or they should have people in the bar point you in the right direction.

The Skyshard add on has been my biggest help in finding missing quests. There are "hidden" quests in each zones I have heard through the grapevine. They could be minor quests not important to the overall game, or could be tied to main story questlines etc etc. Mostly I hear tho are the hidden quests you have to find out on your own, like easter eggs...
If I am going to quote someone, it's going to be me.

Shadowfen has some sneaky hidden quests located on the far reaches of the maps, I found out by exploring every inch of the map, very easily missed...

If anyone is interested, I've written an addon which tracks the quests you've completed. Look for HoWUI on ESOUI.

It wont help you with quests/zones you've already done, but for new zones, you will get a better overview.

Same here, i also need 4 more quests in shadowfen.
I believe the counter will be set down to ~55 quests, every other zone has a couple of quest more then u need for the achivment. In Bangorai is the same "bug".

    Get this addon

    Is show all unfinished
    Wayshrine
    Area of Interest
    Public/Solo Dungeon
    Mundus Stone
    Dolmen
    Group Boss
    Group Dungeon
    Quest Hub <<<<<<
    Crafting Location

Use that add-on with the SkyShards & LoreBooks add-on will make finding things too easy, but if you want to get 100%

But there 'appears' to be a few zones who's quest count is bugged tho.

The quest count isn't bugged. That addon is only counting quest hubs, but there are a number of quests (especially in Shadowfen) that aren't needed for quest hub completion.

Yes Shadowfen is not bugged, just hard to find them all, but Bangkorai quest count is bugged

The one in Reaper's March, if you start the next quest before finish the 'find someone in moonstone' it bugs out and can not be completed and can not be restarted.

I always wondered what happens if you fast travel right after a quest and one of the Npc runs up to you to give a quest that wasn't there a second ago. Maybe go check the end areas of some of your bigger quests.

Try using this video as a guide to hunt the remaining quests in Shadowfen:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L_rpxlaYsZw

However, there is a bug which occurs for many in Shadowfen involving the quests Eyes of the Enemy, Unwelcome Guests, and another one.
Has to do with the fact that one of the quests is a precursor to another, yet you can still skip it and finish the last in the series. The precursor quest is then lost forever. Shadowfen is also the only area in EP which requires you to complete every quest in its zone (62). Most areas have more quests than what the achievement asks of you to avoid problems like these.

I have found that two addons lead me to all the quests. Skyshard and Lorebooks. It seems like once you hit up all the usual spots trying to collect the lorebooks there is almost always a quest that pops up around a lorebook that doesn't seem like it is near anything. Then that usually turns in to another quest or two. I find myself hitting the quest achievment and still getting 5+ quests on top of that in the zones.

I have found that this website is useful for tracking down those elusive quest givers...

    http://esohead.com/map#258.2.50.50.1:2:4:7:8:11:12:14:17:71:70:69:68:67:66:36:32:22

Basically select the zone you want and turn off all the markers except the quest giver markers then you can at least have an idea of what area that/those missing quest(s) might be in. Of course it helps if you have dual monitors so you can have the game up on one and the map website up on the other while you're hunting quests.

    Hope that helps
