I believe antiquities should count as 'Collectible Furnishings' to free slots

How many of you maxed out the amount of slots in your house, realizing that you cannot furnish it properly without blocking off areas entirely?
How many collectible furnishing slots are left in comparison to the traditional ones?

In consideration of the lack of slots, putting aside the existence of crown bought houses with far too little slots to be properly furnished (Looking at you, 600 slot Forgemaster's Fall).

If we could move the antiquities we can collect to the collectible furnishing section, I believe we could free some desperately needed slots there.
Once I had this idea, I used the new housing tours feature to have a look at several different recommended builds and checked their slots.
The vast majority of homes that had maxed out on traditional slots still had at least a quarter of their collectible slots left.

That's 110 slots for houses with 700 traditional ones.

110 slots freed and spent on antiquities and other collectible items for homes like the fogbreak lighthouse or Agony's ascend.

That's 40 slots (wtf?!) for homes with 600 traditional ones.
Imagine to suddenly have access to 40 extra slots in your Enchanted Snowglobe or Alpine Gallery.

And 20 extra slots freed up for player homes with 400 traditional slots!

10 slots for homes with only 200 traditional ones.
A whole 10 more slots for the undisputably underslotted Frostvault Chasm. Imagine that.
That's 10 more dwemer pipes you can shove in there, ha!

Inn rooms would only be able to place down a single antiquity furnishing. - But how many people would that actually limit in their creativity when the inn room itself offers only 30 slots in total for ESO plus subscribers? That's 3.000 gold for 30 slots and 1 antiquity, I believe the damage dealt there would me minimal.
My own Forgemaster's Falls build, which is currently sitting at 598/ 600 slots with the smaller house blocked off and 70% of the longhouse unfurnished would receive another 11 slots just by this change alone. I could place down 11 more items to at least finish the longhouse without leaving behind an entirely empty forge as I've seen in so many other people's builds.

How many traditional slots would you receive by this change and would the collectible items slots left suffice in regards of the amount of antiquities you've placed down?

Or just get rid of the categories completely, let us choose what we place!

For a 700 slot house we would then have 830 spaces, that would for me make a huge difference!

For anyone who says the categories make sure that too many of certain animated/interactable furnishings cannot be placed.....

Well we can already fill a house with 700 animated/interactable lights if we wish, I know I've done it!! 🤣

no thanks, i like being able to put multiple of the same antiquities in my houses.
i highly doubt i'm alone in that.

And i do often reach the limit of Collectible Furnishings in my houses.

We likely won't get increased furnishing limits until zos increases pc and console hardware/software requirements to be high enough for that.

    Until then,
we've been getting more furnishings that are multiple assets put together such as the Alchemy Shelves, book piles, and laundry shelf. that helps so you don't have to use multiple furnishings to cobble those things together.

@ZOS_Kevin is there a reason that you stick with the various categories for furnishing placements?

Could you provide some insight as to why we can't just have all the categories as one?

I cannot see people being upset if this was to be implemented......... want to place your trophies, then place as many as you wish BUT want to place all the wonderful House Guests we can purchase(btw with our hard earned real life cash) then nope only EIGHT and if you place EIGHT House Guests then you cannot place any Companions, Mounts or Non Combat pets!!

More Companions are coming, new mounts get added all the time, as do pets, these things can make a house feel more alive, is there honestly no wriggle room to be able to place more of our friends, they fight with us but atm only a select few can actually live with us...... I find that sad!!

Edit:- Sorry 10 not 8 in Notables...... I've been decorating a Classic recently but 10 is still not enough!

No way, antiquities vastly outnumber the collectible slots. I have builds with dozens of antiquities. I have several builds that have maxed collectibles and have been constrained by this. Pets, mounts, paintings all take up collectibles. My trophy house can only display a fraction or the trophies, so I only display the most difficult to obtain ones.

We just need more slots full stop, and if anything, should remove the limited category of collectibles.
