Anyone else tired of waiting in queue for Cyrodiil? 54th in queue at 5pm CST....

This is getting OLD. I've played this game for nine years and done just about everything I want to do, finally got into PVP a few years ago and enjoyed it. THEN came the population cap reductions. Unless you want to wait in queue for an hour in the evenings CST PS4 NA server you cannot play on Grayhost which is where my guild plays and if you want to play on the weekends you had better get in queue earlier than that or it's an even longer wait.

Some of us work during the day. At 5pm Cstime I[m 54th in queue during a WEEKDAY. I just logged right back out. Essentially I'm paying for something I can hardly use any more.

It's getting to the point where I play less and less as why wait an HOUR to then play another HOUR. <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<

Sure I could switch to a different campaign but there's is only ONE locked campaign which is why we play it.

Sorry for the rant, but it's just been getting worse and worse and worse and finally I think a 54 queue position at 5pm in the evening deserves a complaint. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy the game, it's well designed, the devs and everyone else that works on it deserve a high five. Probably needing to conserve server space or something hence the cap but at this point just shut down PVP and call it a day really.

I'm homed in blackreach on NA server and I can tell you exactly what is going on: The campaign is dead and there is no point in playing in Blackreach. I can confirm, as an EP trying to play Blackreach on PCNA, there's nothing to do, especially if you're solo. There's probably only a few hours when we're not gated, and EP has literally half the score of the other two alliances (but no low score/low pop bonuses, for some reason...)

But this is a symptom of a greater problem, and that's an 'all-server' issue: Everyone's always trying to get into the main campaigns, and that means 1) queues to enter the main campaign are interminable, and 2) the other campaigns are empty and unsatisfying. Clearly something needs to be done... and "oh just raise the caps' may not be the answer if it leads to more performance issues.

I think one of the things that they could do easily is to make the other campaigns more enticing. Like, for example, if one alliance has a score significantly lower than the others, then there should be an AP bonus for joining that to try to balance the scores out. That would help to bring more groups into the underdog alliance and maybe even entice some of the other players to come in on a different team, considering that it's not locked. Cyro even has underdog bonuses, but it seems the rules on when they're offerred are... inconsistent at best, and it's usually not the underdogs who get them.

But as long as we have players who will only play one way (e.g. one game mode, one alliance, ignoring objectives, etc) despite the ability to play other ways, then those people will not be able to play if that one mode gets cut off. And unfortunately, PvP is a lot more sensitive to player population changes than other game modes, for obvious reasons.

I got in Gray Host immediately at 730 est PCNA today. Yesterday, had a q of like 2 at 930 or 10 pm est DC.

Might be the faction you're in on your platform. I'm pretty convinced if it wasn't faction locked, it would be worse as people go for the path of lease resistance. DC used to be a wait, hasn't won for a few campaigns, now no wait.

I admit I only use Blackreach PSNA but it is mostly not crowded, ever. Faction locking puts me off.

I play after midnight PDT.

With pop caps clear down around 60-80 players/faction massive queue's are guaranteed.

It's really sad ZOS does not invest in Cyrodiil PvP.

Too may reds on Blackreach now and yes, yellow and red team up on blue. I guess all red cares about is earning AP at any cost. They don't actually care about PVPing. Seems to me like red tried to kill the campaign (Blackreach) and it looks like they succeeded. Congratulations on destroying a game that you supposedly like and want to play. I really don't get why they are so afraid of dying and so afraid of having fair fights. (It must be some major psychological issue) Most reds won't even play unless they outnumber blue 3 to 1 and have scroll and other bonuses for advantages. And they build so tanky that they're almost impossible to kill with even a few players. Hopefully the new changes coming in this next patch will make class/skill balance a little better but they always find ways to be troll tanks. At least in GH blue can make a full 3-bars to be even with the other alliances at times. Good luck in other versions of Cyrodiil where the reds enjoy their zergling PVD experience taking empty keeps and zerging you down 10 to 1. I guess no matter how they get a kill they feel good about themselves even if they kill you with 4 of their buddies and have all the scrolls etc. I've heard about red guilds/leaders offering to emp people for payment (I assume in gold, crowns, etc.) They're taking what should be a respected and valued achievement and turning it worthless. Like I said making the game worse. Congratulations

Yeah I noticed the campaign on PS5 is full alot. I'm Pacific time and can usually get in fine after 8pm.

They need to increase the population caps.

There also needs to be a way to see where your other faction members are on the map without grouping. Some more transitus stations would be nice.

I spend too much time on horse simulator wondering where the action is.

One of the (many) reasons I stopped playing. Put a lot of effort into a PvP geared/skilled character....get home from work, hang out with the family...might have 2 hours of gaming time....only to end up waiting in a queue the whole time.

One of the many issues that ZoS should address.

This happens in GH as well. Some players are so hard up on their alliance winning they pay gold and pay for players to swap alliances. I have also seen two alliances focusing on one alliance. They even took turns killing players. It basically makes the alliance that is teamed up,on either fight harder or quit. Usually the latter.

There is only one solution. A new map that has a 2 hour timer. 25 v 25 or up to 50 v 50, with a 1-2 hour timer so there is no large stake in winning. But I thought we all figured out years ago, there is nothing to be gained from winning a campaign? For the amount of gold you get you could make 50x that much just ... gathering.

It comes down to population imbalance. It is not skill. Players need another large scale population venue. And these 4v4v4 bg's won't do it.

Just look at WOW. With a 50 v 50, it would be possible to get a balanced playing field. In Wow's av only groups of 4 can que. AND there is no game until you have 40 players in AV. Let it be mixed Alliances. This would guarantee fast ques. Runescape even has "Guild Wars", where guilds can fight, even employing certain rules you can apply. Oh but that might not work here because the PVP ball guilds don't want to face other guilds, they want to mow down uncoordinated solo players, that mostly have low hp and low cp.

And yeah, when it's 2 factions vs 1 faction, at pop lock, Netflix pages me.

I have an idea of the Alessia bridge, with 2 flags on both sides. A capping type flag and 1 tower (copy past code). NO siege. Winner could be team with most flag caps in 1 hour ... or one with most kills.

Just give us something else. The campaigns are broken. Ques are 50 plus because the only campaign worth going to is GH (on PC NA), unless of course you want a one color map where you can PV Door and farm AP.
