Hello,
I’m writing this post because I’m frustrated and disappointed with the changes to the gifting system, particularly the disabling of gifting for some accounts due to credit card fraud issues. I understand the need to combat fraud, but the way this has been implemented seems unfair and overly punitive, especially to loyal players like myself.
I have 1.5k crowns sitting in my account, and I simply want to gift a DLC to a friend. But now, because of fraud that I had nothing to do with, I'm unable to do so. This feels like a punishment for being an honest player who just wants to share the game with others.
While I support efforts to curb fraudulent activity, the current system is a blunt instrument that catches too many innocent players in the net. Why are legitimate players who have played by the rules and made legitimate purchases being restricted like this? Couldn’t there be a more targeted approach to dealing with fraud, instead of disabling gifting across the board?
I’m sure I’m not the only one in this situation, and I hope that the devs will consider revising this system to be fairer to those of us who simply want to enjoy the game and share it with our friends. If anyone else is in the same boat, feel free to share your thoughts here.
Thanks for reading, and I hope this gets some attention from the dev team.
