Gilded Glory Event: 100% Gold Perk

The event states "Earn additional gold while adventuring in Tamriel. Find +100% Gold from all game sources." I feel like this means the perk should apply when selling to merchants and fences, which is a game source, not player sourced gold like guild trader sales, but it does not. Is this a bug?

Of course it doesn't. However tedious it may be I'm sure were they to do that there would inevitably be some sort of gold duplication exploit if suddenly for a week you got twice as much for vendor items. Similar to the transmute exploit a month or two ago

Merchants are not defined as an earnable game source. This is referring to sources were you can pick up gold. Merchants don't count in that unless they are used for completing a quest where gold is earnable. This is not a bug.

When you start the launcher, the first graphic "bullet" shows a picture of coins, and says "Enjoy a 100% boost..."
The picture is a link. HOWEVER, when you click it, you are taken to a page of PVP guidance: https://www.elderscrollsonline.com/en-us/newplayerguide/pvp
It has nothing about the mini-event.

What about Rewards for the Worthy? Those are still giving the standard gold reward.

@ZOS_Kevin Shouldn't it also double the amount given by the Gilded Sleight verse in Infinite Archive? (Which is doesn't)

i have my main house (grand topal hideaway) listed in the housing tours, it has multiple target dummies, scribing altar, and grandmaster stations (in progress being filled out), as well as almost every antiquity furnishing on display to preview them

Currently it does not. This is working as intended. However, we will note this to the dev team and see if they want to consider this for future versions of the bonus event.

It would have been great if you got double gold for selling gear, trash items ' not crafted gear '.

Those public dungeons would be full of gold farmers.

Right now the only activity i see any bigger diffrence in gold gains are daily writs which are great but would be fun to add something more.

Gold drops from mobs (human-type enemies tend to drop money), treasure chests, and thieves troves are also increased.

Gold from all quests is doubled too, I believe — it’s just that writs give the highest amount of gold by design and are very quick to get and do, so that’s where people are going to most commonly notice the difference.

What's the best way to earn more gold in this event? Guild merchants seem the to be the only relaiable way to earn an income. So unless they remove the posting fee I really don't any point in the event per say. In fact, I think it would be more worthwhile to give discounts like in Zenithar events.

Like with double XP, the point is to get a controlled bonus to predefined sources, not to allow players to make double from player-controlled sales. (This may also be why Tel Var gains from player kills are not doubled during PvP events—they are largely controlled by players and are not capped.) Removing the listing fee does seem like it would fit better with the ZoZ event. But it would also mean we could use the guild stores as free storage for up to two weeks after the event, which is part of why the listing fee is there in the first place.

For quest rewards, daily writs are easy and are in the tier of quests that give the highest possible gold reward. Gold from mobs is also doubled—humans and many humanoid monsters (e.g. lamiae) drop it. Gold from chests, safeboxes, and thieves troves is as well.

To maximize the gains, stack the relevant CP: Gilded Fingers for 10% to all these game sources, plus Fortune’s Favor for 50% to chests/safeboxes/thieves troves. ESO+ adds 10%. You can use an Imperial for 1% more. These are all additive with each other but multiplicative with the event bonus, so you get +20% of the base value with Gilded Fingers, +100% with Fortune’s Favor, +20% with ESO+, +2% for Imperial, etc.

For example, a daily writ on an Imperial with Gilded Fingers and ESO+ gives 242% the base value during the event: the normal 121% (base + GF + ESO+ + Imperial) times two. Gold rewards scale with your character level, up to 50, so use those characters for max gold.

You can get over 200k in one day doing all seven writs on 20 characters with just Gilded Fingers (no ESO+, no Imperial). It will be over 220k if you have ESO+ on top of that. That’s an extra 100-110k per day from the event.
