Please reconsider ZOS! Don't destroy Ravenwatch! Don't turn this campaign into proc vs proc!

    The most OP build in the game right now for PvP is a max magicka MagSorc so people are not escaping the cheese from no proc. The no proc campaign just feels better because the ball groups and higher tier players are in Gray Host.

    Ravenwatch in NA is not dead, but the population is low.. I agree with that.. There are still some good fights out there... We still have some respected PvP guilds who make Ravenwatch their homes... those guilds are Aetherian Avengers (AD) and Disenfranchised (EP). We use to have a DC guild (SDC) who also partcipated in the campaign too until they left and went to blackreach. I could go on and on.

    Ravenwatch could be one of the best if not better campaign than GH if people would stop being so drunken with proc sets and learn how to fight with skill rather than rely on proc sets that they managed to farm from arena.

    The lack of clarity around what sets worked in no-proc was the single biggest issue with the campaign.
    We asked for years and years for an official no-proc set list. ZOS promised we would have one.
    ZOS delayed and delayed, and now instead of actually following through on what we were promised and seeing if that fixed the problem (it would have), they're just giving up and doing this instead. Insulting.

    The original purpose behind removing proc sets from Ravenwatch was to improve server performance, and I for one would like ZOS to return to that goal. Proc sets don't bother me, but the server performance does. Right now the server performance even in Ravenwatch is terrible, but it's still better than Blackreach since there are no ball groups and no hammer. I play from outside the US and have bad ping, and I often disconnect if a ball group or the hammer approach me.

    I would prefer it if ZOS actually got more restrictive with Ravenwatch sets in order to improve server performance. For example, the set Mark of the Pariah, which updates armor values based on the player's health, must have more effect on server performance than flat boost sets like Order's Wrath. I think any set that requires some sort of update should be removed from Ravenwatch.

    Having to continually update a list of what works and what doesn't in a Campaign that a tiny percentage of players is even engaging in is pointless. There should be a No-CP Campaign but it should behave the same as Battlegrounds so that new players can understand what's going on.

    And there's probably more people that will play in there now than before just because their gear will actually work now. The majority of the sets in the game are classified as a proc, not just the free damage dealing ones that people like to complain about.

    On PS NA it doesn’t matter because the campaign is dead. I think people just go there for a quick emp achievement for their platinum and then leave.
    Like some1 else said before me, they should shut down these campaigns and allocate resources else where.
    White streak mayhem is the only exception to this.

    It wasn't. The original purpose behind the no-proc test was to see if it would improve performance. This test took place across all campaigns, somewhere in February 2021. After the 3 weeks of testing were complete, ZOS said that while they saw some performance improvement, it wasn't anywhere near what they'd hoped for. Yet, because there were a few vocal people on the forums saying they loved the ruleset, they planned for no-proc to remain in place on all campaigns for 6 months, but this was soon reduced to 3 months after they got a lot of backlash from other players. After those 3 months, procs returned to all campaigns, and another 3 months later, for Update 31 (August 2021), they removed proc sets from Ravenwatch only, in order to let it be the designated no-proc campaign.

    Just wanted to point this out because removing procs from Ravenwatch was very much a gameplay decision, and it should be judged on that merit.

    A better move would be to just dump all the proc sets. The Devs seem to think the only way to grow the game is to introduce more and more wierd proc sets.

    1. There are forum threads where players are worshiping Zos for bringing proc sets back to all Cyrodiil servers.
    2. You have to consider (all) these changes, in light of the changing game. One year ago, there were 166,000 daily ESO players. Today, there are 13,000. Zenimax has to cut corners, and a big cost savings is to have fewer servers. Fewer servers means consolidation, pure and simple.

    Ravenwatch was destroyed long ago when the No-Proc fiat first came down. It turned a campaign that had a thriving population into a ghost town within a couple of months.

    Yeah I'm conflicted on this one for sure.

    I totally agree with @RaikaNA that No Proc gameplay deserves a place in this game. It does feel like a much more balanced version of the game.

    On the other hand I recognize that this campaign is usually only populated Thursday-Saturday night. And the bars don't even fill up. Still we have no evidence to suggest that will change with the addition of Procs.

    I think shifting Ice Reach to Proc No Cp like @RaikaNA suggested is the best compromise. Low levels get scaling so there really isn't too much of a reason to keep it as a separate campaign (and Icereach is TRULY dead.

    Whatever ZOS decides to do, it's Scripture.

    But guess what, since you like the game, and you have paid that much money, the feeling of potential loss of investment will not allow you to leave it. A perfect marketing strategy for which many of us fall.

    Many times ZOS has introduced things we didn't ask for (and sure enough, there are those that were a huge QoL improvement, eg. stickerbook, curated sets, etc.). 99% of the time our requests are falling on deaf ears.

    So don't complain - just play the game :(

    I Don't blame ZOS I blame the people for leaving the campaign. There was nothing wrong with implementing no proc.. it encouraged people to rely on skills rather than a free dmg from a proc set.
