Atoll of Immolation random mini boss nonsense

A "free" non-combat pet that requires the achievement for 7 random mini bosses in the Atoll of Immolation public dungeon. Perhaps that is fine for players who have done the Blackwood grind in years gone by, but for a new player, that it a very difficult achievement. RNG decides what bosses you are presented with, and we all know how unfair RNG can be.

Anyone have a better way than just grinding?

i think your best bet if your trying to get all those bosses is to wait near the pad where the boss spawns, im not quite 100% sure on this but i think the boss that respawns is randomly 1 of the 5

its a lot better than running through the oblivion portal multiple times

Can confirm: you can camp the spawn point of the mini boss in the second area of the portal; no need to go to another one.
I was missing 4 mini bosses and I had them spawn like if they were curated: 4 fights and I was done with the achievement.

Yes I can confirm. What I did was get a few of my toons I don't play much and just logged them out at the boss. Logged them in each day and happened to time it where others were killing the boss. I think it took a day or two is all.

Thank you for that. I was going to try that yesterday, but real life interfered with my camping effort. I need one boss to finish the achievement, so I'll pack the makings for s'mores next time (and hope RL stays on hold).

You can also skip the titan boss before the building. Just run around the edge and you can get through the door before combat starts. I think you can do the same thing on a few of the other mini bosses.

Whenever I am farming the portal for the weekly kill xxx using weapons/class skills endeavors, I skip the bosses because too much work for only a few kills. Easier to farm mobs.

Lucky you. I only need one, and I kept getting the same 3 I already had over about 10 tries.

Yes, I finally found it under Blackwood. I thought it would be under Deadlands.

Do you think at night the firey mount attracts moths and mosquitoes and would be just super annoying for an adventurer to be camping with. Warm though.

Yeah, I agree. It's yet another example of an unhealthy grind, totally unfun. You can stay in one place and wait, probably the fastest, but you still need to wait around 5 minutes for a boss to spawn after you killed the previous one. So with the first round you get 100% chance of getting the boss you need. Then 90%... then ... then 10%. So to get the last one you will, on average, have to do 10 tries it seems, i.e. 50+ minutes just for that one. If you are unlucky, you will spend hours camping there.

Fortunately, the shalk they give you for this is really meh so grab it if you have already got the achievement, otherwise best to ignore this grind. The other pet is much nicer

Took 7 boss spawns just to get the last one. Do all the bosses spawn on the Islands, or do some only spawn in certain locations?

for the achievement, i think 5 of the 7 spawn on the islands, the 2nd island of the 3 has the random boss, and it can be any of the 5 (it is RNG though for which one spawns)

one of the bosses required is the ash titan before you go into the big citadel

one of the bosses required is the final havocrel boss
