Howbto get class mastery script scraps?

I've done a few of the activities it says on uesp that drop them and I haven't gotten any. Is it rng? do i need to do a quest first or something.

I really want the class script and it says to do certain activities to get these scraps but I haven't gotten a single one. Are they purchasable in the traders do I need to finish the scribing quest line first? I haven't finished the dragon yes just did the first three.

Any help or advice I feel confused

I just double checked and the activities I have done are the random dungeon dailies and the battlegrounds daily coffers.

Make sure you have "The Wing of the Dragon" Quest completed and the related achievement and unlock on your account.

then Class Script Scraps should drop from:

Completing normal and veteran Trials: 1 Scrap from Normal, 2 Scraps from Veteran
Opening normal and veteran Trial weekly coffers: 1 Scrap from Normal, 2 Scraps from Veteran, 4 Scraps from Veteran Hard Mode coffers
Appearing on Trial weekly leaderboards: 5 Scraps (per character)
Completing normal and veteran Arenas: 1 Scrap from normal, 3 Scraps from Veteran (once per day per account)
Appearing on an Arena weekly leaderboard: 5 Scraps (per character)
Completing Infinite Archive Arcs: Chance of 1 Scrap from Tho’at chest (Not guaranteed)
Opening rewards for completing random daily normal and veteran Dungeons: 1 Scrap from Normal, 2 Scraps from Veteran (once per day per character)
Opening daily Battleground reward boxes: 1 Scrap (once per day per account)
Completing Master Writs: 1 Scrap (once per day per account)
Opening reward boxes granted from completing Elder Scrolls capture quests in Cyrodiil: 4 Scraps (once per day per account)
Becoming Emperor in Cyrodiil: 25 Scraps

Note that these go directly in your inventory and sometimes don't appear in the containers themselves.

Also, if i have any of these wrong please correct me.

I just completed all my class script scraps today and the achievement states that the script can now be purchased from the vendor in the Scholarium. When I visited, it says that my character has already learnt it so I’m a little confused as to the purpose of the scraps.

this is gonna take me a while to get to 50 since I don't do trials or pvp, and arenas are kind of a slog, will have to be from occasional infinite archive runs or master writs I guess

You need to consume 50 scraps on one character to even be able to buy it. Buying is for any alts on that account, as once you have the achievement scraps won't drop.

I got mine from doing master writs. You only get from one master writ a day so it took awhile, but I wasn't in a rush. I have yet to scribe anything.

I completed the quests and did a battlegrounds daily quests and didn't get anything

Keep in mind that the Script Scrap you receive from the Random Daily Dungeon reward doesn't actually show up in the mail you receive with the other rewards. But if you look in your Slottables inventory, it should be there (or was it Supplies? I forget as it's been a while).

When I first started doing the random daily dungeons for script scraps, at first I thought I didn't receive any because it wasn't in the mail. But I did find it in my inventory after claiming the contents of the mail. Also make sure you're doing the actual Random Daily Dungeon from the Activity Finder, and not confusing it with the daily Pledges (some people in the past made that mistake).

I just did the 3 West Weald dailies and got all of them for my main character. I’m getting others for my alts from the Rewards of the Worthy boxes from the PvP event.

Ditto. I've got 49 scraps, all from Master Writs. Be done with that particular grind tomorrow (there was much rejoicing) and can go back to doing Master Writs for vouchers again. There was something just kind of unnatural about doling them out at the rate of one per day when I normally just knock out a big stack and wait on them to accumulate again.

Thank you very much for your response @kringled_1 - I now recall that I did consume some on other characters when they were obtained from the Scroll PVP quests/dungeons/trials and my main has only completed master writs for hers.

I still find it puzzling that in the vendor it says she already knows the script. Also, they have stopped dropping so she can’t get any more to consume.

I got mine with a couple of new characters on random daily normal dungeons. This way you are doing it on base game dungeons only. Backed up with master writs on my main. Seemed to rack them up quite fast with no hassle. All scraps transferred to my main for completion.

I did mostly one daily master writ and the odd IA but it doesn't 100% drop from IA in my experience.

Remember once you have 50 use them on your main scribing character and then you can buy the script from the IA vendor for your other characters, it is not expensive.

As soon as you consume 50 you get the achievement and the script will be in your inventory, the scraps then stop dropping and any over the 50 become useless.
