The appearance of Puncturing Strikes needs to be changed, it looks terrible, it's not a spear, it's literally a shovel.
Especially since it's not even a special appearance of the skill, it's just Nighthollow Staff.
They just took the appearance of a staff and put it into a skill, don't you think that's just hackwork?

    that really isn't a shovel. not a lot of dirt would stay on there if you tried using it like a shovel.

    i think it looks like a spear which zos probably thinks as well which would be why they used it for a spear skill.

    maybe they'll change it if they ever add spears for us as a weapon or when they add another staff style that they think fits better. [addition: or maybe they'll never change it]

    Damage has to increase for this skill. It’s laughable damage wise and is the class spammable. Templar best thing to do in pvp is range everything. Javelin, radiant glory, vampire bane, blazing spears, etc… if you get closer than 15m to your target Templar burst potential quickly diminishes as you can easily be interrupted and most skills can be dodged.

    The strongest skill Templar has currently is dark flare. But it slow to cast, easily can be interrupted or dodged, and it’s still inferior to frag, concealed weapon, whip, scorch etc…

    I main a Templar but it’s annoying as crap to play knowing that currently the only class that is just as bad is Necro.

    WTB skill style: Old Jabs Animation

    And yes move some of the power out of the beam and back into jabs, make it land reliably.

    Jabs animation is really bad and there are probably a million posts wanting it changed

    Jabs isn’t a bad on damage when you have 5-6k tooltip which is easy to have, but what is bad is the snare. One roll dodge is all it takes to get away. I really wish it added a slow like rending slashes instead of 0.5 seconds

    Eh, no. This is probably the good part. The spammable skills don't have snare, rending isn't spammable (well you can sorta make it with a set). You can already hit enemy mid roll, and jbeam can too. No need to make rolls weaker than they already are.

    Couldn't agree more. And we need to keep bringing up this issue until it's changed or the forum is closed down.

    It is a shovel! Jokes aside, it is a efortless and lazy way to make an ability imho and more an iconic class ability.

    At the end, templar mains just want to have jabs buffed.

    I'm not templar main and I want to have jabs u35 changes undone.
    There was nothing wrong with jabs.

    I've had almost all my pleas for jabs animation change deleted by mods. I hope you have better luck with this than I did.

    Every mmo I have played melee was always a risk type of attack that offered a reward in improved damage. The devs did improve 2h weapons, NB, DK, but negatively affected Templar damage.
