With the last patch I started receiving a "timeout waiting for window to load" error. I would click on ESO in Steam but the launcher window would never load. Support suggested all the usual things: restart, turn your modem off, check your firewall, etc. Nothing worked. I found an old post from launch back in 2013. That person had the error and found that if they closed all other Internet programs (including Google Chrome itself) that ESO would then launch. That seemed crazy to me given my Internet bandwidth, amount of memory, etc. but I tried it and it worked. Once the patch fully loaded, I could then start the game even with Chrome open. I'm adding this post in case others have the same problem.
