I think one quality of life improvment for eso would be to be able to swap between gear sets, so if you pvp, you would have a pvp gear set you could easily switch to with a click, and then back to your dungeon gear with another click.

thats what the armory system is for, a built in game method to handle different "loadouts"

if your on PC there are also addons that do that too (wizards wardrobe is one example i know of)

i have my main house (grand topal hideaway) listed in the housing tours, it has multiple target dummies, scribing altar, and grandmaster stations (in progress being filled out), as well as almost every antiquity furnishing on display to preview them

feel free to stop by and use the facilities

the armory system allows you to save your build (slotted gear, mundus stones, CP, attribute points) so all you have to do is talk to the armory and select the build to use

you do have to keep the gear for each build on your character though, it does not magically store it lol

by default each character only has 2 armory slots available, so you could do 2 different setups for free (you have to buy additional slots with crowns)

i havent really used the system yet, because each of my toons only runs 1 build, but its a great option to have if you want to say switch between tank and DPS builds quickly without the use of addons

there is a freebie armory station in the crown store you can then place in one of your houses, and there are also armory tables in some other locations such as cyrodiil or IC in the home base areas

there is a built in game "lock" function

if on PC, you right click on the item and select "lock" from the dropdown

this will prevent selling or deconstructing, and adds a confirmation dialog for upgrading/applying new enchantments

Don't everyone use the Dressing Room addon for this?

Armory is only needed when you need different morphs or attributes.

I like Wizard’s Wardrobe but haven’t tried Dressing Room.

Armory also for changing mundus stone between presets and could be preferable for changing CP for lower CP characters (without spending 3k every time points are reassigned).

Don’t know about OP, but those of us on console don’t have add-ons. The Armory Assistant can do this for you, though.

Which is better overall, wizard’s wardrobe or dressing room? Which is more commonly used in endgame content?

Also items which are part of an armoury set will be marked with an icon, whether or not they're also locked. You get a warning too if you try to put them in the bank, and probably also if you try to sell or deconstruct them.

Wizard, I switched to it when scribing came out and it's just better. Even if dressing room get support for scribing (no idea if it has yet) I'm staying with wizard.

Dressing Room does have it, but it's weird since it's a branched addon.

There are actually three different Dressing Room addons - the base and then two branches. Most people were using the "Dressing Room for Stonethorn" branch, but that one is dead now. But code's updating the other branch "Dressing Room 2018" and that does support Scribing.

There are a few features from the Stonethorn branch missing from the 2018 branch and I did have to re-setup my character, but it's working now.

If you want Scribing, you'll need to get rid of your current Dressing Room and get the new (old?) version
