Launcher downloading PTS, shouldn't be

Hi, I am not sure where else to report this since there is no option in-game that I can find to report bugs with the launcher.

A few days ago I decided to enable the PTS in my launcher and download it and give it a shot. However, after contemplating the huge download for a while I changed my mind, so I paused the download and disabled it in options. It was no longer shown on the left side of the main launcher screen.

Yesterday I downloaded the new patch for the live server, had a invalid meta something-or-other error and had to repair and re-download. Eventually, yesterday afternoon I got into the game.

This morning when I started the launcher it began downloading a huge patch and, since the PTS option was not their on the left in my launcher, I thought there must be something wrong with my download of the live server patch again. I paused the download then for whatever reason, tried clicking on the "Elder Scrolls Online (NA)" option on the left side of the launcher again. This changed the bar at the bottom of the launcher and gave me an option to play. NOTE: there was no option for the PTS server on the left side of the launcher, and when I checked in options it was still disabled.

So, apparently my launcher was attempting to download the PTS version without prompting from me or even indicating what it was doing.

Hope this gets resolved soon. It was very confusing.

Thank you for the report, @revcasy! In order to keep PTS from attempting to download whenever you open the launcher, please re-enable PTS on your launcher so that it shows on the left side. Next, click the "Game Options" menu on the top right side of the New section. From here, you can either select "Uninstall" if you see that option, or select "Settings". From the settings menu, go ahead and change the Auto Update option to "Never". This should stop PTS from always trying to download.

Thanks. Hopefully this is still working now. Just did this and downloading now, wish me luck. :) Really, ten years later and it's still an issue for some players?
