ESO has become more than a game in the sense Ive now played it for almost a 3rd of my lifetime. In 2021, I was in a bad place, a single father of 3 young children with full custody, and my pap had just passed away right after my ex walked out on us. I ended up meeting my now wife, who lived literally 2500 miles away at the time. We played eso together, I fell for her despite swearing off relationships, and we made plans for her to visit. She risked everything and flew all the way across the country, and we hit it off like you wouldnt believe. She was wonderful with my children, and after a second visit, I asked her to move in with us. We ended up having a baby on Halloween 2022, and shes the most amazing woman I couldve ever prayed for, in every way. Just wanted to say thank you for this game and the experiences over the years Ive been blessed with thanks to ESO (and God allowing it). Our daughter is now 20 months old, and my wife is my rock as much as I am for her. She became my personal healer in game and in life :p. I could talk about how wonderful she is all day, but mainly just wanted to put this out there, as I find myself complaining about silly in game stuff sometimes.

Good to read something like this! Awesome! Always good to see things going well for others.

This topic proves the next ESO in-game feature should be: ESO dating! :sunglasses:

    What a heartwarming story.

Tagging @ZOS_Kevin because I know so many tags are issues or complaints, so a happy tag is about due!

Met my husband in an arcade 45 years ago when I was there with my brothers. We fought over a Defender machine.

Morrowind was the first game we played that wasn't a first person shooter.

We both started ESO in 2014 first day players.

And now it is 45 years of burnt dinners and a lot of fun and we still play each and every day.

In some ways I've always regretted that husband is not a computer person. Or game player. In other ways.... my life is a WHOLE lot simpler....

    awesome.

met my girlfriend three years ago on this game. i was 51 and definitely not looking - then one night in guild chat i heard the giggle that would change my existence. i've never dated a fellow gamer before that, let alone one that loves heavy metal and all of the same sick stuff that i do --- almost like she was made in a lab for me.

    congrats, op.

And even when they are, there is no guarantee.

My husband and I have both been lifelong gamers and married 16 years now. We've only played two games together, though - one where he was vastly better than me and one where I was vastly better than him. Both multiplayer instances only lasted for a few months before the other eventually faded away because we are both competitive as well - not that it caused any issues, just that the weaker party at the game eventually stopped having fun and simply stopped playing. I know that's how it was for me and suspect that is the case for him. It is not fun, not even with your spouse, to be at the bottom of the score screen and them at the top every match. It gets old very quickly. LOL

But we do both game, largely in our preferred genres - he is more of a racer, poker, and GTA guy whereas I am more of an ESO, Diablo, and Red Dead Online girl. We have shared single player experience such as Red Dead, Fallout, and Mass Effect where we talk about plot points and our singly player experiences.

And we both understand the concept that the other cannot "pause" their online game so there is that respect level of understanding. I don't interrupt his "real world" in-game poker matches just as he does not interrupt my Friday night guild auctions or my dungeons/trials when he sees on the screen and from my headset being on that that's what's happening.

So being a gaming couple, so to speak, does have its benefits in that one spouse isn't likely to shout at the other one for how their time is spent, etc because we both "get it" and appreciate having that separate space. But being a gaming couple doesn't necessarily mean you'll be sitting side by side sharing a game together, necessarily. LOL

Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.
