Heyyo guys.
Today I had an encounter in Selene's Web (today's pledge). A CP1400, CP700, CP180 and me (CP1785) entered the dungeon on vet. Immediately, a notification pops up, with the sound I only know as the "ready check sound". So, instinctively, I press F to say "I'm ready" without reading the message. Then I realized: It wasn't a ready check. It was a vote kick initiated from the CP700 player to kick the CP180 player. Because the 1400 was also instinctively pressing F because they thought it was a ready check, the poor CP180 player got kicked from the dungeon.
Not only do I really have a problem with this kind of toxic behaviour, I also really hate that I accidentally participated in it. I ALWAYS support low level players in their journey and it wouldn't have been a problem to carry them through Selene's Web whatsoever.
Now, here's the thing why I'm posting about it: WHY is the ready check sound the same as the vote kick sound and why is there no second confirmation or something like this? It's really irritating that you can literally accidentally vote kick someone because you're conditioned to the ready check sound.
Here are my suggestions for a small fix:
- A second confirmation window ("Are you really sure?")
- A different sound for the vote kick
- To accept the vote kick, we need to hold the button for a longer time (like 3 seconds) instead of pressing just once
Did anyone have this problem in the past, too? I really felt so bad for the CP180 guy, I've messaged them and sent them some gold as an apology.
