Strange Scribing discrepancies

I was just experimenting with Scribing and noticed a very weird discrepancy: If I scribe the Soul Burst skill with Stamina Damage it does more damage and cost less (8544 damage and 2667 stamina) than if I were to scribe it with Magicka Damage (8210 damage and 3326 magicka cost). I am on a magicka sorcerer in case that would make a difference.
And also: why does it allow the use of Shock Damage for the focus script, but not Fire, Bleed etc?

✭Sorc has bonus physical damage from passives.
(Bonus shock too, but that doesn't seem to be displaying correctly when making scribed skills.)6 -

✭✭✭As far as cost, stam skills get a cost discount. Also, either skill will be reduced by whether you have medium or light armor on.
The 5% increase to Physical & Shock damage that sorcs get would add up to the 334 damage difference if the skill's damage (before other % increases) was a little under 7k.
The last thing I'd test for would be whether your build has points in the CP passives (not slotted ones) that give you some Weapon/Spell damage to only martial effects or only magical effects.PC-NA

Don't think this is the reason, as I have all CP passives (CP 2536 right now), so both the weapons and spell passives.
