Let's go to Akavir

The chapter I really really REALLY want is Akavir.

Has anybody else been thinking this? There's a whole mysterious continent on Nirn we hardly know anything about.

I wonder how the Daedric princes meddle in Akavir.

plenty of us do want it, but it is not going to happen because Bethesda wants to keep Akavir a mystery like the Dwemer

I kind of think that's not happening. There are places that beth is just not willing to allow.... I think that's one of them.

I want (oh my gosh those who really know me are going to cringe) a time travel chapter to Yokuda before/during/after the "sinking".... PLEASE ZOS....

There's a couple of locations that have some ancient licence agreements.
I'm not convinced that Akavir was one of them

Going to Akavir? No. An actual Akaviri NPC or two in the game? Way past time.

I'd love to see a Yokudan Isles chapter, so you're not alone! Doesn't one of the many lorebooks mention the Isles and their names? I know that I have screenshots of it; if / when I find them, I'll post them. They're like a romantic poem, IIRC

Actually that's not a bad idea..

So where did you guys hear that Akavir was off limits?

I wonder if the cold harbour pact applies to Akavir?

It's a whole continent. All they gotta do is give us a little piece of it. Little pieces are what chapters are nowadays anyway.

I can't actually remember now. It was years back, probably a long-defunct stream - back when I used to listen to them. And I also can't remember who said what about it. Sorry - memory is just not reliable any more beyond a vague intimation of "no can do".

I can do some digging Friday, but tonight and tomorrow.... well.... people are already not paying any attention to the strictures on NO FIREWORKS, so I've got to be talking to the fire chief etc before the renters set the whole town on fire.

Pyandonea has a much higher chance of being a Chapter than Akavir ever will have. That's an entire continent.

If we can't have Akavir 'proper' maybe the islands of Esroniet, Cathnoquey, Yneslea or Roscrea..? They are only mentioned in passing in 'Disaster at Ionith', so the creative team could let their imaginations go wild :)
It's a tradition, or an old charter, or something...

Just want to mention that at the end-of-chapter party of Gold Road, Beragon mentions that he has travelled Tamriel and beyond, as well as daedric realms.

technically the Systres Archipelago is not Tamriel so he could have gone to islands like those of course

Are they? Because being an island does not automatically make a place not part of a continent. The British Isles are considered part of Europe, Greenland is geographically considered a part of North America.

well isobel refers to Tamsfolk twice in her quest dialogue so i thought it implied that the Archipelago isn't Tamriel.
i could be wrong about thinking that.

if i am wrong, Yokuda could be used at least as it still exists during ESO and i don't remember if Bethesda ever forbade that to be used

That's right. Then again, the isles are also on the Tamrielic map from the Pocket Guide to the Empire; and also on the ESO map, they're part of Tamriel's map and not an extra map on the circle that shows other "realms".

though they're on the Eltheric Ocean map from Redguard which includes Yokuda
    cd4t8s5tdic9.png

No clue if it's actually Tamriel or not, but
zos might rename the world map to Nirn eventually if they ever add anything like Pyandonea.
If Systres isn't Tamriel it's probably too small to warrant a world map name change.

and the maps on the Aurbis are in actual other realms, Tamriel is only 1 of the continents of Nirn so not a different realm than Akavir/Yokuda/Pyandonea.

Is Eyevea officially considered part of Tamriel after it was brought back? I think it would be because it's considered part of the Summerset Isles?

it is only back on Nirn if you have finished the Mages Guild questline so that's why it's on the Aurbis

I find the fact that you can visit the Scholarium without having finished that questline a little weird, btw. Can you do the scribing questline without being a member of the mages' guild? I've been wondering but don't know whether anyone checked.

haven't checked that as i make my characters join the Mages Guild as soon as i do stuff with them and you can't start Scribing with characters under level 30, that's a long time without the guild.

but Votary Nahlia got us as backup just because we're part of the guild not specifically because of what we might have done with the Guild questline. there's some dialogue if you finished it but nothing more

I would much rather we fill out the rest of Tamriel first before venturing off to lands unknown.

Besides, think about the lore community surrounding this series and ask yourself if we really want to kick that beehive right now.

I'm quire sure we'll see the remaining parts of Tamriel first. Which would be content for another 10 years at least, maybe even more if future zones are getting smaller.

I don't think ZOS really cares for that.

I started the scribing questline (doing Indrik and Netch) on a level 9 who hasn't joined any of the guilds. My alts generally don't, though most of them do the Psijic questline.

Going to Akavir would probably make the lore community have an aneurism. As far as I’m aware, consensus is that some things shouldn’t be touched in depth because Bethesda (or in this case, ZOS) will change or add to the lore about the mysteries, cheapening them and making them less fantastical and more typical fantasy. Like Bretons just being Knights in High Isle and Imperials just being Romans.
