Adding an existing addon feature to the game (with the addon still providing a better version: Guestbook, paragraph descriptions) is not something I would hype up the player base about for months as a mysterious new feature that an update revolves around.

That is a lot of hype and months of speculation from your community... for something that could have been added as a footnote in some random patch.

Since the dev team seems unaware of the most popular housing ideas,
Here is a list of what players have asked for:

1) Housing item limit increase. Any outdoor-area home should have at least 700 slots. Convert 600 slot homes to 700 slots.
Even a small increase to 800 slots or being able to place more collectable furnishings. ANYTHING to help with item limit issue.

2) The option to remove pre-existing buildings. This would ease the burden of spending slots to cover up the existing buildings.

3) Display weapons on weapon racks (katana display style or attaching an individual bow to a wall mount, for example).
Display armor on mannequins. (We need more storage. Look at FFXIV mannequins for inspiration)

4) ESO+ furniture bag. Even if there is a limit on inventory.
This has to be easier on the servers than my 600 slot home used for lighting storage.

5) Decon non-crown craftable furniture back to its original mats. This would also help storage issues.

Players ask for medium houses because the item limit is not high enough to decorate enormous homes with SEVERAL large areas. (The recent Sword home is a prime example)

You have given us a home with a large outdoor area... and medium housing limit. You have mixed the two problems together and made it worse.

Releasing a big home with medium item limit is tragic levels of tone deaf. That home should be 700 slots.

When players ask for a medium item limit, they are asking to decorate a small, cozy space in a gold-bought house.

Next time you try hyping players up with a big announcement/feature that is months away, please pick one of the most popular things players have been begging for.

Not an idea that no one asked for.

The tagging system isn't bad, but it is a minor feature. Something that could have been attached to an update as a footnote.

    ____

My immediate concerns with the new feature:

    1) It's going to be used as advertisement for non-housing things.
What is preventing someone from using the tag/title Selling Dungeon Runs and using bots to upvote it?

    2) We already have problems with "Limited Visitor" not allowing us to choose which objects people can and cannot interact with. We might want visitors to be able to close/open a door, but we might not want them to be able to open/close a certain gate that was used as something other than a gate. Or switch our lights ON/OFF.

    3) Our block/ban lists are about to skyrocket. If you haven't thought about it, hire more people for your ticket response team. There will be a lot of griefers that require something more than a block/ban.

    4) There are limits on how many people can be in a house at once. Griefers will flood houses. Especially during housing contests. It's been *sometimes* an issue now. It's going to get worse. Is the limit on how many players can be in a house increasing?

    5) Is there a way to tag/list your house ONLY to your guilds and friend's list? This would prevent a lot of griefing.

And what you got is that you get to visit other houses from the activity finder. Fun, right?
