Shadow Queen's Cowl Mythic REWORK

As a certified legerdemain enjoyer I was pretty hyped when I heard there was a dedicated thief mythic coming.
Unfortunately, the pendulum swung in the opposite direction when I saw what it is.

For reference, this is the current state of the Shadow Queen's Cowl:
Light - Head
While crouched, you can see Witnesses and Guards through walls.
Successfully pickpocketing a Witness or Guard applies Distracted to them for 10 seconds, stunning them and decreasing their Stealth detection radius by 30 meters for the duration.
The problem with this mythic is that anyone with a decent stealth build is going to be virtually undetectable anyway, so the 10 second Distracted debuff is just useless.
My current build is also using the Ring of the Wild Hunt which means that not only would I be giving up all the bonuses of a Medium armor piece, but also 45% movement speed, for no apparent benefit besides highlighting Guards.

Instead, I would suggest changing the Shadow Queen's Cowl into the following:
Medium - Head
While crouched, you can see Guards through walls.
Patience is a virtue. Opportunistic pickpocket chance is increased to 100%.
What I mean by "opportunistic pickpocket" is that sometimes the prompt will turn green and rise by 10%.
This would instead rise to 100% for a guaranteed success, which I think is fair considering how slow it can be.

I changed it from Light to Medium for stat bonuses such as -7% cost of Sneak and -5% detection area. Light armor doesn't offer any benefits to a thief.
I removed Witnesses from being highlighted because I think it's a bit much and feels very cluttered.

Personally this is the only thing I would consider trading movement speed for because it would enable a slow and methodical playstyle which would be especially useful in certain areas with scarce NPC's that are difficult to pickpocket, such as Nobles.

What do you think?

That opportunistic pickpocket thing is a good idea.

The main benefit atm is being able to see all the targets—it's helpful and just feels good to use.

I'd like if pickpocketing or looting a green or better item gave you a stack of a buff (more stacks for rarer items), and at 20 stacks, you become a shadow and get bonus pickpocket chance and movement speed for a while.

seeing everything through walls starts triggering motion sickness for me when crouch walking. I used that antiquity for about 10min before chucking it in a box.
The far off outlines move differently than the foreground creating that imbalance in peripheral.

that would be better yes, however it is a mythic and mythics have disadvantages.
in this case the mythic is light armour as a disadvantage.

There's also the disadvantage of the mythic being pointless, why go to the trouble of risking getting caught pickpocketing just to reduce detection...when instead you could just sneak past them in some stealth gear and not get detected in the first place?

the mythic shows npcs through walls which some people want.
the mythic isn't pointless to everyone

Well... still gonna have to go with OP on this one, the cowl is kinda....blek tier, kinda like the stranglers, good in theory, useless in pratice.

    Lose
    2 meter reduced detection radius
    22% sneak cost reduction
    5% reduced detection raidus
ability to pickpocket guards quickly and easily

    Gain
    5% faster sneaking
ability to see some npc through walls
access to a minigame that's an rng mess of a coin toss between getting detected instantly and reducing detection radius by 30 meters

i like the idea of being able to see witnesses and guards, but i would agree it makes no sense to give up the wild hunt mythic for the increased speed (im speed capped in stealth with this mythic)

i would also agree with the change of the distracted debuff, to the bonus opportunity pickpocket, as it would make more sense i think

if it actually did that, it would actually be a really tough decision of "should i use this or wild hunt?" lol
