Devs, please stop nerfing healing and let me play as I want to play

Does anyone know how to tag the devs or Gina in a comment, or can you even? I'm really hoping they see this because this has been a problem for over 3 years. I haven't made a big forum post about it because I was making do, but this latest Mender's Bond nerf, after we healers finally had a skill that seemed to focus on us and gave us a leg up, finally, we healers can't keep putting up with this anymore. At least, I can't. I hope other healers will join me.

The devs came out a couple years ago and said that their focus was to let us play how we wanted to play. That's what they wanted the game's focus to be now. However, that seems to only be for dps players, not healers or support. They keep nerfing us healers. First nerf in the new chapter? Healer skill! This discussion isn't about whether it should have been nerfed or not. This discussion is about how it was the FIRST to be nerfed and how they have consistently nerfed our heals for years. Why can dps players play how they want to play, but we healers aren't appreciated by the devs? We're treated like trash. If you really mean you want us to be able to play as we want to, ALL OF US, then please give some attention and strong skills to us healers. Healers are not the problem in ball groups. Everyone knows it's meta tank builds, but you don't see them getting consistently nerfed for 3 years.

I'm just going to have to speak with my wallet, as will the rest of us healers. Until you allow us to play as we want like everyone else, until you allow us to be somewhat useful on our own without having to have 2 healers for every dps, I'm not going to buy anything. No more ESO plus subscription, even though I've had one for years, and no more chapter purchases. I was a beta tester. I've been playing this game since the beginning. No more purchases until this healer fiasco is fixed. I'm paying for a game that has shown it doesn't want to let me enjoy the game by playing the role I want to play, even though they strongly encourage everyone else to. Ok. Well, I'm going to go about the process of requesting a refund of gold road and unsubscribing since you no longer seem to appreciate an entire role you made for the game. When you're able to make healer improvements and stop nerfing so much, I'll gladly start purchasing again. Or, if you are going to double down, just remove the healer role entirely. At least be upfront about it.

    Three whole paragraphs and all I got from it was there's a nerf to "Healers Bond". No idea what the nerf is actually or what Healers Bond is since I'm not familiar with the name off the top of my head.

    Some advice, if you want a complaint given to the Devs, it's good to give details about what the complaint actually is.

    the menders bond scribe skill had a bug in it which had its scaling coefficient 10.5x higher than it should have been which was leading to some extremely crazy tooltips

    i saw one screencap which the skill said it provided 95,000 heal over 5 sec or something to that effect, that would have been close to 20k heals per second from 1 skill

    i have my main house (grand topal hideaway) listed in the housing tours, it has multiple target dummies, scribing altar, and grandmaster stations (in progress being filled out), as well as almost every antiquity furnishing on display to preview them

    I'm really confused as to why there is so much uproar about this skill being "nerfed" (ie fixed)? Healing is incredibly overtuned in ESO and putting out raw HPS has never been the primary struggle of the role. It's not as if one hilariously OP skill suddenly made healing strong when it was previously weak.

    It was not the script's coefficient that was the problem. It was the fact that the highest max resource was not being divided by 10.5 before being added to max weapon/spell damage, the sum of which then gets multiplied by the script's coefficient. The script was not doing 10.5x the healing; it was closer to 4x-5x.

    I think people got excited about a Scribed skill feeling powerful/worth using and are now disappointed that's been taken away. But since that was pretty much the strongest heal in game because one script (1/3 of the skill) was well over the budget of a whole non-Scribed skill, it should have been pretty clear it was bugged.

    Healer here. We're fine.

    Raw healing output is definitely not the problem. While I'm disappointed that Healer's Bond got hit, seeing some of the results people were getting, I totally understand why. It's justified.

    If that is in fact what this is about you'll be relieved to know plenty of things were already nerfed on PTS. None of them heals.

    Well, if you don't think raw healing output is the problem, then what is it? And it's not specifically about nerfing that heal. Fine, it was OP. I get it. But it's about the constant nerfing of healing in general. Why do the devs encourage others to play how they want to play, but not healers?

    Menders Bond is a very good waste of inks.

    This shield ... 1k damage shield? really?
    You cn get 20k damage shield with 2hand weapon.
    Also the warrior guild skill heals around 15k every 0.6 seconds and menders bond is a problem? xD

    Lol the Mender's Bond change was not a nerf. It was a bug fix. It was scaling way higher than intended, and was undeniably overpowered.

    Healing is very high right now. You'll be just fine.

    How is a bug impacting your ability to play as you want? Heal wasn't even the first nerf, and even if it was, why does the order matter? Bugged skills all need to be fixed?

    What nerf? Mender's Bound had an unintended coding error. Tons of small groups run without healers successfully in Cyro for one. Second how is this a "you keep nerfing healers" when this skill is a new capability. Suppose it is 100% useless. Then you are precisely at the level a couple months ago. Ergo it is not a nerf.

    Nerfs can happen to new capabilities.
