They aren't remotely the same.

They are both AoE
They are Both Channels
They both require aiming
They both have roughly the same base damage per hit

So yeah, why dosn't jabs do full damage to all targets hit?
(if for no other reason than to make up for its majorly lacking damage)

also why does jabs, a melee skill only do as much base damage as a 0 cruz beam...which is a ranged skill?

I said that it should be a morph that does single target damage.

Base form AoE with reduced damage to match Fatecarver base, one morph to current form with damage scaling and single target execute, one morph that remains AoE with reduced damage and heals as one of the current morphs does.
