As I thought buying the chapter would give me this color, would have been fine if it was easy to get but pretty much impossible for a casual gamer to get inks without spending countless of hours just pressing E around a map.

If it's just the ink, it's tradeable. About 70k at guild traders.

the achievement requires earning the ink, from quests or drops.
For OP: ink seems to have better drops from killing things than farming, particularly if you're doing it casually. If you'd rather a guaranteed set of drops, if you have alt characters you could run the quests a handful of times on alt characters. The achievement is accountwide.

For refund I would contact support\sales, if you explain you are dissatisfied with the product they may work with you on a refund.
Or you could just hold off for a bit? There were responses from a couple of the community managers that the team heard the complaints about horrible drop rates and are reviewing for improvements.
Main reason I wanted to get Gold Road was the Black Onyx Color for my spammanble. It seems impossible to get it unless you spend countless of hours farming nodes. As I both study and work I don't have the time to spend all my free days just farming nodes. So it is possible to get a refund? I second @Desiato (post above). I almost gave up on scribing due to all the complains in forum re grinding. Though, I did the Netch quest to unlock getting inks from nodes and I was very surprise at how fair the drop rate is. By far better than some other older rare resources.
I'm a lazy chilling player (all my farming resources related abilities set to max by CPs) and have already 19 inks.
I think that the issue is more that:
- Many players want to have things done fast. So, they do intensive nodes farming and of course, to their taste, the drop rate doesn't allow to go fast enough.
- Not all players have the same cursor for grinding. If someone doesn't like farming resources, of course, one round is already a massive bother.
All that to say: I don't see an issue at all with luminous ink farming. The drop rate is equivalent to other rare resources (it's even better than some). Beside, don't forget it can be purchased to skip any grinding and finally, keep in mind that nobody ever said that all has to be completed within a few days.
I did the full scribing quest once and the first stage on 3 other characters. I haven't done any node farming. The achievement is up to 36/50 without even trying. Which is strange because I currently have 43 luminous ink and haven't purchased any from other players and I've scribed a few abilities.
So no, it's not close to impossible. It's very attainable for the most casual of players.
Scribing is not as grindy as some in this forum would have you believe. Someone I know in discord was so discouraged by what they had read about scribing here that they were going to skip it, but then couldn't believe how easy it was when they actually did it.

i've yet to drop a single ink from any monster, and last week zos confirmed that it's bugged. not sure if it's fixed now with today's patch
The new weekly endeavour options include 100 harvest nodes. It would be interesting to see how many inks people get from those.
