How do you do Master Writs on Console?

So how do most of you do Master Writs for WW, BS and Cloth on console? I have a rough time figuring out if I know the pattern.

Yes, I know some of you can almost instantly navigate to check, but I have not found it easy to find specific knowledge for this.

Does anyone have any useful tips other than that?

The PC allows me to have an addon to tell me if I know the right things, but console does not and I would love to find an easy way to find this if such a way exists.

if i am not certain if i know the style required for a master writ, i check my armor and weapon styles in collections or the motifs in the lore library.

before my main character had researched all traits i looked up on uesp or eso hub how many traits were required to know to craft a set item.

I can remember which styles I have learned for the most part, but if I am unsure I do a trial run at a generic crafting table.

I select the item (breeches, belt, etc.) and then pick the style mat. That is enough to know if you can do it and if you have the style mat in your inventory/craft bag.

You could always refer to your lore book library for the specifics rather than browsing the armor and weapon style. Another method that my friend and I use is a Google doc with our unknown Motifs on it: broken down by number with the unknow pages following. It's been very helpful for us, especially during anniversary event where we trade off what the other needs. Hopefully that helps.

Easiest way to find out is to go to your journal, then click on Lore Library and you can just scroll down the alphabetical list of motifs to find what you are looking for. It'll list the number of books your read of that particular motif so you'll know if you've learned shoulders, boots, axes, etc.

This is how I used to do it before downloading the add-on that automatically tells me if I know the motif and have items in stock to craft. Going the Library route is way easier than checking your sticker book because the motifs are listed in alpha order.

I had not noticed the Lore Library. I only went to the listing of Outfit Styles, which is MUCH more difficult.

Thanks for the tip on that everyone!
