Extreme Cyro Delay & Lag

I have not seen the servers in this bad of a sate in years. The amount of delay on bar swapping and casting skills is a full 5 seconds sometimes. 5000 MS delay in a game where you can die in under 1 second is absurd. I am aware of the DDOS attacks on the servers but this is a completely different issue, it was only happening near bigger fights, moving to other sides of the map made the issue more bearable, but even fights with around 20+ experienced this issue, and the server used to be able to handle that. It was extremely evident when you'd encounter 2+ people running azureblight. I don't know if it's because of the pure amount of dots being ran, the set calculations itself, or a combination of both, but I am aware of the lag the set used to cause a few patches ago. Regardless, it has not been this bad in a while. Please fix the issue, it is unplayable in scenarios where this happens.

    I can confirm this issue. In large fights, my framerate drops to about 5 or so. It's as bad as it was before the entire testing cycle with the no procs.

    Can also confirm this was my experience on PC NA yesterday afternoon with extremely low (less than 3 bars combined) population. Completely unplayable near any significant fight. Massive ability delays, zergs rubberbanding around, skill casts rooting you in place, etc.

    This is exactly how the game performed before the servers got upgraded.

    The problem is ZOS is already fully aware of the poor performance in PvP, and have been for years. Maybe if they ignore the problem longer it will just go away?

    @ZOS_Kevin has done a FANTASTIC job with the coms as of late - specifically in this thread (https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/658253/zos-massive-spike-in-ping-lag-in-recent-days-what-gives#latest)

    TLDR - they are aware and internally talking with the respective teams. They are requesting we submit tickets and provide some details on what is happening. If you can take clips or anything please do. Provide the ticket numbers in the above thread so they can get to them quicker.

    There has been a large red group running around using 12+ people with azureblight that I think has been causing a large part of the lag. This set has been overperforming for awhile in pvp and pve and should just be changed.

    That set might be causing lag, but it's also literally the only thing that is capable of killing coordinated 12 man groups.

    What is likely causing even more lag now is the addition of menders bond, which is applying effects every second as people walk in and out of it. I've seen multiple 12 man groups running 5-8 of these, and the moment you get anywhere near them your FPS and the server performance completely tanks.

    We know that the calculations caused by ability spamming in coordinated 12 man's are the number one cause of bad performance, so it's quite obvious that a skill which is applying and refreshing multiple buffs and HOTs in an AOE every second as people move in and out of it will have a huge negative impact on performance.

    It amazes me how it continues to get worse. I think we blame stuff happening in Cyrodiil but I've heard people out in overland mention getting spikes. Could be related or unrelated.

    People spike everywhere, but the lag in cyro is consistent and it's an insane amount of delay that shouldn't exist in any game unless your ISP is awful.

    Considering that they just added another possible 4,000 unique skill combinations for the server to keep track of, is anybody really surprised that performance is tanking?
