Infinite archive script prices way too high

As the title says the prices to buy all 4 scripts is way too high.
From what I saw in pts it was way cheaper to buy them 9ti9sp26jhrt.png
In current live version it's like this hfd30s34iq3r.png
By the looks of it in our current version we need to play roughly 16h to buy all 4 scripts from the vendor and that's just for 1 character only.
The prices should get lower because this is gonna be very tedious to do it in many characters.
I would be ok if they were account wide and you just had to buy them once (heck increase their price if that was the case).

I do agree the 1st buy is too high. But just so you know, the PTS prices you saw are what you get on live too, AFTER you have already learned them once. So if you are learning them for the 1st time from the Archive vendor, they are pricy, but if you've already found them and are getting them for alts, they are the PTS prices you saw.

Are these scripts only available in the infinite archive?

its from an NPC vendor, so it wont be any difference lol

as noted the cost significantly goes down after you learn it on at least 1 character, and you can also go to the scholarium vendor for 4 scripts that can be bought for gold instead of archive fortunes if you want an alternate method to get them

they made spell crafting too grindy to be fun. they need to remember that people play games to have fun and the gameplay shouldn't become a chore.

From doing the dailies I currently have all the focus and signature scripts on my character that did the Scribing quest chain, with just 7 affix scripts to go. Well, I don’t have the class mastery script yet, but that’s a different grind. For my other characters, I’ll probably just buy them along the way in the Scriptorium at the cheaper gold price instead of doing dailies with those characters, but we’ll see.

this is mostly what ive been doing for my main: 3 west weal dailies (which covers the WB daily, delve daily, incursion daily), and then i added 3 guild dailies (mages, fighters, undaunted) for 6 curated scripts a day

ive also added in at least 1 master writ a day as well for the 1 class mastery scrap to at least make progress on it when im not doing some other activity that gives it

Even at 2000 Fortunes or whatever for alts, still feels like way too big a time commitment compared to the reward, unless you really only need one specific Script. Doesn't help that the first 2 arcs are fine as a tutorial, but really long and boring to have to repeat every time just to get to arc 3 where it gets interesting. Why no Normal/Vet for this?
