Also you don't need all grimoires on all characters - just buy these one which you will use.

I am Enjoying the New Gold Road, I bought the whole thing and did not wait in anticipation, but went onto the PTS to try all the new bits out, leaving only the quests to be the surprises. I had a FEW Worries , but thought that it would all be sorted out.
What I was led to believe by posts on the forum, bits from others, was that 1 little toon HAD to do Everything.... OK No Problem my little Decade old Sorc was due for this in any case, its done every other one so why not this , even although i really no longer use it!
The inference was that once it did everything that I could then just go and for like 10 gold buy everything for the other toons, GOOD!!!
NOPE.....
I can bring in another toon, and do the introduction to scribing, then go down stairs and buy SOME of the grimoires for 10 Gold!!! the Rest are all 10,000 Gold , cannot remember how many , like 20 of them. that's me at 200,000 Gold , but the ones that I bought in the infinite archive were like 80,000 , (I do not know how much for the next toon as I have Not been back as it cleared me out)
Now I have 18 toons on this account, and 3 other accounts, Yes I play a lot and like to play different roles, as well as Making New toons for Chapters DLC's ect as they come out.
so that's 17 adds. times 200,000 = 3,400,000 |Gold,
I have no time to go looking for things to put up on the guild stores, for a shorter time, as i am trying to find all the scripts! so I cannot MAKE 3,400,000.
I cannot do a daily anything and then buy that script, I have to Keep Doing dailies until i have 18 of them, for each and every one! I do not do the PVP stuff so there is an instance down 3, this is a nightmare!!!
in time YES your going to maybe / possibly Buy them in Guild Stores... but at what prices? and how long to wait.
This was a Game that I played because i liked it and it was relaxing , Now its becoming a JOB, who wants to finish Work, and go to work on a Job that is inherently frustrating.
So the conclusion that was reached was, only build up one toon at a time, then after its fully done, there should be a supply in the guild stores that you can buy... But you now need gold , more gold than you can earn doing this, so the only option will be to buy gold.
[snip]
this little rant is just frustration i am facing because over the years i have actually played the game, and made toons. At this rate its going to take me years!!!!! so very frustrating!!!
please let me do 1 toon, and just apply the Grimoires / Scripts etc account wide or charge the 10 gold as a flat rate!
Stop Forcing People to Farm the infinite archive, They don't have time , they are farming for scripts , Stop forcing people to do PVP, some of us Do not like it nor want to do it. Do you want to make people Enjoy your great game, or force them off like happened in World of Warcraft for many!!!
And Yes MY FAULT for having 18 toons, and multiple accounts, but take that as a commitment to the game, not as anything else......
I have a Necro, I never play the Necro, I hate it, I have an Arcanist, never really play it as i do not like it, same with Night blade / Warden... love my Templars, but also love my Dragon Knights.
tried Khajit as a Dragon knight, then a Breton, then a high Elf, now on a dark elf.. I have spent so much time and effort and gold getting them to where they are , I am not going to delete them!!!
I can change an ORC to a Dark Elf, but I cannot change the Necro to a Dragon Knight, Hence Lots of toons, but I still want them All levelled up on everything, so therefor more frustration, with scribing, the necro can be last, but its still going to have to be done, Stalker is looing good right now when it comes out, as it will be onto a game that I can relax with, not put in more hours here than at work for a futile ending!

Scribing seems like one of those "back burner" activities to remember down the road. You keep playing the game as normal, make gold, sell things in stores / merchants, whatever it is you do to make money, overtime it accumulates til you make a new toon or build with maybe a new race (as if) or class that comes out, then you'll have the funds to really mess with it.
I don't think anyone was really expecting it to be this expensive, nor did ZOS give any idea in the previews that it would be from my understanding. so of course it's a bit frustrating at first, but overtime it'll just kinda dwindle down really. i mean, making a custom skill like that does sound like it demands a high price and time considering how some can really change the core of a players character or build.
honestly i'm just happy it costs gold rather than ZOS somehow making it into a crown store token. expensive as hell only to my characters wallet, not my own.
The problem with this is that players want to play with and create the new skills BEFORE they start playing a character for hundreds of hours. It is not fun to burn out on a character to get access to a system, and then no longer wanting to play that character. Ohw, and the system is not accountwide, so picking another character to play means the grind starts all over again! (This is even besides placing the scripts in the worst possible locations: PvP and stupid dailies I no longer want to touch at all.)VouxeTheMinotaur wrote: »I dont think scribing is meant to be something to be completed as soon as possible. Scribing should be easily accessible, just like leads/mythics. Scripts should be accountwide unlocks. Accessibility is what makes these kind of systems great and usable. Scribing is already gated by ink, that should be the only gatekeeping.
PS: Already NOT looking forward to ZOS adding more scripts, as that just means more stupid grinding.
PPS: Normally I am all for going slow/not rushing. But not with systems like these.

So you are really saying we should be content paying for the chapter now and having to wait for our next toon to use it? That would be like buying Greymoor and waiting until Blackwood to be able to dig up anything.
