1. Rewards for the Worthy - 2-3 inks per reward
2. Battleground Rewards: 3, 2 & 1 ink, for placement
3. Daily Dungeon - 3 Inks per daily
4. Trials - 10 Inks
5. TOT Dailies - 3 Inks (get more ppl to play)

Please add more places to earn inks.

I got 1 ink from killing a Grievous Twilight during an Imperial City district daily, and 1 ink from killing a Black Dagger bandit during a Chorrol town daily in Cyrodiil. That was within 30 minutes or less of each other. I think I must have gotten more from other places without noticing it, because I currently have 11 and AFAIK I'd only gotten 6 from completing the Indrik's and the Netch's questlines (3 apiece). So it seems to be dropping from somewhere.

Seeing these guaranteed sources for ink makes me realise we've already got plenty of options, and that it won't be long before ink is in abundance.

Feeling much better about accumulation of ink now, thank you for sharing this list!

I've not got any ink from trials or ToT or Dungeons - is it meant to be guaranteed, or is this the suggestion?

Sort of phew -I mean i've not had any ink drop outside of the quest despite hours of farming nodes - so was hoping something was wrong. Might just go down the route of getting more alts through scribing quests - seems to be the most effective way to get more ink.

As boring as it will be, that's my current plan as well. I don't know which characters will use scribing in the end. But just gonna unlock it on all of them just for the ink supply.

I've gotten some ink from random containers, looting mob enemies, and gathering. It's definitely been less than ten though so I'd say the RNG on these does seem to be pretty bad. I think it's kind of stupid (extremely stupid) that they're so limited for some unlucky players because it makes it impossible to just test out spell combinations. I know I wanted to try out the Wield Soul pull, but I'm not doing so simply because I already scribed it another way and don't have enough excess ink just to test something out then change it back to what I already had it as. I've also been holding off scribing some spells until I get all the actual scripts I want to use on them that way I don't waste ink. Kind of sucks since I'd like to get used to actually using the abilities, but sadly it's more efficient to just hold off and not spend ink carelessly. I'm hoping they'll either increase the drop rates on these or add some ways to for sure get some like the OP listed.

These are suggestions for guaranteed Ink rewards. Not actual rewards atm. We need guaranteed drops on things we normally do.

Such a short supply will drive the prices up to where the RWT will bring out the bots to farm them and charge too much for average player to even use much less experiment.

We need GUARANTEED drops on our dailies. Like daily dungeon gives 10 geodes so it should give something like 5 inks. And let these be per character.

This is a suggestion. We should get ink in the same places we get transmutes. PLEASE increase ink drops immediately or many players are going to put this on hold.

The above are logical places for players to get ink. You get a skill you want to have the supplies readily available to use it. Most of us are past the point of pointless grinding and can opt to just not play until this is fixed.d

This post needs to be edited, it shows up as one of the top results in Google searches about inks and it's not at all clear that these are suggestions! Got my hopes up for nothing, lol.

But for the record there definitely need to be guaranteed sources of ink or better yet, do away with ink altogether because this ridiculously low drop rate stifles experimentation which is what this system is all about!

You have like a 0.5% chance of ink dropping from a node. I would say the same for a mob drop. I’ve completed the entire new zone - all content that majority of people would do on a first run through before going for the harder/grindy achievements and only one 1 ink dropped for me from a random node.

They want you to grind until the next chapter.

Don’t matter to them - they don’t play the game !

Look at furnishing crafting mats, if you go out and farm for it you are Lucky if you get a few heartwood in 1 hour.

Look at aetherial Dust, you can farm for it for 1 year without getting any.

Yet there are tons of 150xp pots in traders, if you need heartwood there are tons of it also.

Give it some time and game will be filled with Ink with the current drop rate

Mob drops are currently bugged, and that was confirmed earlier. Node drops are about as common as nirnhoned mats. They'll add up over time and it will become a non-issue.

Do I think there should be more ways to get ink? Yeah.

Do I think it needs to flow like water so people can experiment? No.

You can get 12 guaranteed vials by doing the questline on other characters. That's 120 ink vials if you have ten alts, or enough for 40 different combinations.

Yeah, it will take some time, but that's how drops work. Just like building up a stock of transmutes or any other high-end mat.

The "market' will stabilize by the end of the month and the price will be acceptable, and if it isn't, one just has to take the time to farm resources and the hopefully fixed by then mobs.

I received 13 inks in a week. 12 for the quest and 1 unknown. where. In this situation, I will be able to do one skill per month. I'm happy (not).

Or to put it another way, I’d need 1200 characters to get enough ink to test all the current combos

You want do test all possible combos? Really? Did you test all possible set combos too? Eso-hub.com is giving us a scribing simulator, maybe that helps? If not what about installing PTS, there you can test whatsoever.

I'm now at 35 inks (not counting quest rewards) in about 7 hours of farming nodes. Have only gotten 1 of them from a mob drop.

Darn. I spent 2 days grabbing every available node between surveys in every zone of the game and I got a grand total of 1 ink.

Coldharbour should be a great place to farm nodes for Ink, the respawn times on nodes are fast

Yes.
Websites can only simulate so much , and not with current chars.
PTS isn’t an option for console players.

Getting back on track, the ink drops are dreadful.

They're bad if you want to test loads of skills now. They're probably okay in the long run, as they do seem to line up with nirnhoned, except across the world, which means prices will likely lower quite a bit.

In a few months, the market prices will tumble as less and less people will be experimenting.

I've played pretty actively while plucking any nodes I came across while questing / getting skill points / doing surveys etc, and found 16 ink.

I’ve been picking up nodes while doing DLC zone quests I missed in the past, and have not see one ink drop. Not even one. If this drop rate is “working as intended”, then I don’t know what to say.

I’ve got numerous scripts now from RotW, but I can’t even play around with them, because I don’t want to waste the 12 inks I have from the quests. Great system here… RNG upon RNG.

ZOS either increase the supply of ink NOW or Gold Road is losing it's momentum. Already returning players are leaving. The general word around discords is NOT to buy Gold Road, ink supply is too low to even bother with Scribing.

TBH, you lost me to Sweet Tooth Season 3 ... ink supply is too much of a bother. I'm not playing until the ink supply is fixed. You should have NEVER put in a crafting ingredient for skills. It's pointless and stupid. I've been on at least 10 discords where players are saying not to bother with Gold Road or coming back until ink supply is adjusted.

Scribing is basically worthless and not an incentive to return to game.

You put the ink supply in just to feed trade guilds. Trade guilds which are the primary source of RWT in ESO and I will NOT support them by buying ink.
