I know there is already a thread about overland difficulty, but my request is different and could provide a solution that might satisfy many players in that thread.
Please allow us to increase the damage we receive and decrease the damage we inflict through a "debuff" (a curse that can be activated or deactivated at will, for example) that we could create with the Scribe system.
This would not affect players who want no changes and would please those who desire more difficulty. For years, we have been doing the game's content entirely naked to experience a tiny percentage of increased difficulty. We would love to have an alternative solution to feel the pleasure of improving our character through exploration and adventure, not by depriving ourselves of equipment and sets.
Difficulty scaling is desperately needed. 9 years. 6 paid expansions. 22 DLCs. 35 game changing updates including A Realm Reborn-tier overhaul of the game including a permanent CP160 gear cap and ridiculous power creep thereafter. I'm sick and tired of hearing about Cadwell Silver&Gold as a "you think you do but you don't"-tier deflection to any criticism regarding the lack of overland difficulty in the game.
