Does the game take longer to load to character screen now?

At least for me, before Gold Road, from Windows or game client to character loading screen was a lot, lot faster than now.

Is it the same for you guys? Is it taking longer from Windows or the client to char screen?

Usually when there is a new patch like this, the first login always takes a while, after that, it should return to normal.

Not slower for me - in fact, it's really fast on my new machine. Even the first login after patch only took about 30 seconds.

it loads very fast to character screen and loads much faster from zone to zone in comparison to 2 and 3 weeks ago.

Right after patch it will always take long because launcher delete (on PC) shader cache and game need to recreate it. After it should be quicker.

Anyway it could be a connection to login server.
Before update it took few second after clicking on login button but after update it sometimes fast and sometimes slow. So maybe too many players logining in.

this was my experience, took a little longer than normal to login after the servers came back up but back to normal login speed after that.

Probably something on my end then (and for other players too as I read above), because it's not the first time I loaded the game after patch, but always (began after patch for me).

Mine is exactly the same time as it used to be. It's always been very consistent, only occasionally taking longer.

This has been happening to me ever since I got my account back after the PTS bans. I've asked around to try and work out what's been causing it but couldn't make any progress in solving it.

It's odd because it's very specifically the load screen before character select. Load screens in the game itself are quite quick for me.

Yeah, load screens in game are just as fast as they used to be. I started noticing it last week (before the Gold Road patch).

Definitely taking longer here. I’m usually at the char select screen within maybe 5 seconds. But it’s been in excess of 15 seconds since Monday.

Yes takes about 10 seconds longer. Not that big of a deal but an unwelcome change.

It does take longer, except for the 30% of times I get disconnected. Then it takes even longer than that.

It's a lot longer than 10 seconds for me. Close on a minute. Used to basically not get a load screen here so it's really annoying.

Loading (and logging out) takes a LOT longer. Both between zones and within same zone. It used to take 5 secs or so within zone - now it is 50 secs.
Strangely, occasionally, it is just as fast as it used to be.
Also some times is shows a black screen while loading before it switches to normal load screen after 30 seconds. Almost like a timeout is happening

Edit to the above: LibHistorie seems to be the problem. Disabling that addon makes load times normal. But, ofc, you'll not get sales data

takes longer for me since the new update as well, used to take a few seconds, now it's more like 30 seconds, I don't use addons
