your subscription is not extended and you get no extra rewards. this event solely targets the non-subscribers.

Free trial weekends for non eso players, free plus trials, and free DLC rewards give nothing to the people who already pay for all of it.

There is no "Thank you for subscribing rewards" during those things however, we do get discounts on crown store items and free exclusive statues or paintings, some times even a pet that is not a guar. Oh and we get a slightly boost crowns on our renewal dates.

During this ESO+ promotion You can get the Blade of Woe from the Dark Brotherhood, but you can't get any of the Companions. Or at least, I couldn't get Isobel or Ember today. I didn't check Mirri or Bastion. They simply weren't at their quest locations, and the option under Allies was grayed (well, red) out.

No, because we are not losing anything. It is ordinary and customary for games to offer free time to encourage players to subscribe or play the game in general. In other words, it is good business.

As others have pointed out, free access does not grant access to everything.

Actually, Plus Subscribers DO get something. They added the statuettes specifically because we can't use the free trial. They used to give crown crates during the free trial, but changed it to statuettes and discounts throughout the year. It is ordinary for video games to offer something to current subscribers during these types of events. In other words, it is good customer service. So, it is a completely fair and most reasonable question. In general, customers should ask questions in order to receive the best goods and services. It is up to a consumers to stay informed on such matters, after all. Caveat Emptor. That means let the buyer beware. It is a business principle that goes back centuries. It encourages buyers to ask pointed questions of sellers, so that a buyer can be confident in their purchase. If the buyer doesn't ask such questions, then they cannot complain after the purchase is over.
