I was able to play Monday without any problems, what I’ve seen of the the new zone and trial is lovely (haven’t completed it yet, but it’s been fun to figure out the mechs with guildies). There is a lot I have yet to see, but I enjoy to take my time with it. :)

I’m sure people are going to post complaints as they always do, although that would be better done in separate threads addressing particular issues. Anyway, I certainly don’t make a mystery of what changes to the game I don’t like, so it’s only right to recognize the positive as well!

I agree - I've complained about many various things in many various threads on this forum and will probably continue to do so, but the chapter launch went very well. No login queues, no emergency maintenance, and the zone looks wonderful.

I'll save any complaints for another time and place :P

definitely overall smoother than the last few releases lol

there are still some bugs present, but mostly stuff that can be fixed during an incremental instead of disaster level problems requiring server downtime lol

i have my main house (grand topal hideaway) listed in the housing tours, it has multiple target dummies, scribing altar, and grandmaster stations (in progress being filled out), as well as almost every antiquity furnishing on display to preview them

feel free to stop by and use the facilities

My only big technical issue is the multiple knot bug in LC which will pretty much wipe any group who is still unsuire of themselves.

Well, that and debilitating frame rates in trials. Unplayable.

    Everything else is great though!

Thanks @Araneae6537! We're working out the bugs and issues folks have reported, but very pleased that things were pretty smooth sailing regarding launch. Thanks for playing and hope you enjoy Gold Road!

It’s been very stable. A little laggy at times still but improved.
I really wanna say a big congratulations to the writers of the scripting quest line. That could have been really basic story telling but it wasn’t. I was doing the quest for the skills but actually settled back to enjoy my first play through and was rewarded by connecting strongly to two of the stories. Nice job. Could you please pass on my appreciation to the team?

Agreed, it actually went quite smoothly, in spite of the bugs that still exist with some of the quests and NPC's.

I also want to congratulate the zone designers on the aesthetics of the West Weald. It's visually stunning, very well designed with lots of big surprises around every bend that make you go "wow!"

I really love the juxtaposition between the wildburn and the beautiful autumn trees surrounding Skingrad. You genuinely feel like you are in a place caught in the midst of a change that is happening before your eyes.

And the delves are absolutely gorgeous. I love how different they are from the usual "cave with glowing things" formula that tends to occur. Would really love to see more delve designs like Varen's Watch.

I haven't been this impressed by a zone since Summerset, Elsweyr, and Skyrim. Truly amazing job!

    Legends never die
    They're written down in eternity
But you'll never see the price it costs
The scars collected all their lives
When everything's lost, they pick up their hearts and avenge defeat
Before it all starts, they suffer through harm just to touch a dream
    Oh, pick yourself up, 'cause
    Legends never die

I totally agree, I often judge how good I think something is by my emotional response to it or even whether I even have one.....

The Luminaries did that in spades and not always in a good way!! 😲
    When people say to me........
"You're going to regret that in the morning"
I sleep until midday cos I'm a problem solver!

I like the fall aesthetics and I wish to second that the barren stretches of wildburn are a good contrast - both from the standpoint of vibrant vineyards vs. barren wastelands, and the red/orange vs. blue/green color schemes. 😊

This has been a pretty smooth launch on my end. A couple odd little things here and there and 1 wayshrine that's hard to use, but pretty solid otherwise. Now just need to get a couple add-on's to work.

    The Chapters
High Isle was extremely disappointing but it was also made during lockdown.
Necrom was a return to form.
Gold Road took the game to new heights.

    Well done ZOS, well done.

True. Deployment was a success and very smooth. What I have enjoyed about the zone so far:
    - the visuals and design of the zone
    - Some of the side quests have great stories
    - The concept of the scribing skills and system
Crown Crates are a trap. Don't fall for the gamble! Balance? What Balance? Balance, smellance.
    Necro for them RP feels.

Agreed, I enjoyed the scribing quests, and particularly seeing a particular area from ES 5 during the last scribing quest (which I won't mention here due to spoilers). It was good to see that spot again.
