I guess it all depends on your opponent, doesn’t it? But next question: if I beat an opponent ranking higher than me, do I get more points? And if I lose against him, do I lose more points? If I win against someone ranking lower than me, do I get less points? And if I lose against someone ranking lower tank me, do I lose less points? For me the following scenario would be logical (numbers made up)

    Opponent ranked higher:
    Win: 20 points
    Lose: 10 points

    Opponent ranked lower:
    Win: 10 points
    Lose: 20 points

The logic is, beating a higher ranked player should award more points, but losing against him should me lose less points than losing against a weaker opponent.

    Is that how it works?

The way the math works is if you take your current score multiple it by your opponents score divided by 10.

Then work out the square root of the difference between your scores. You can then throw you calculator out your window and roll a dice to determine the score.
