Clockwork Snugpod

I've always liked Snugpod for its convenient location (close to an Undaunted pledge hub, close to some major traders, close to respec shrines), but I've never been a huge fan of the wood elf aesthetic... or those low-res walls. So I turned it into a Clockwork-inspired tinkering room that is slowly being retaken by the surrounding wilderness! It's still a work in progress (I'm trying to decide if I want to do more with the upstairs area) but it's mostly done.

I realize the Armory table and storage containers don't entirely fit the Clockwork look, but this is the house I port to when I do pledges, so I need the functionality of swapping builds. It's just my personal housing philosophy: if I'm gonna spend that much gold on something, it has to serve a functional purpose that will keep me returning to the house. Also, I realize Ezabi isn't exactly the best banker choice here, but I'm not spending 5k crowns for the factotum banker. ;) I try to keep my Crown Store spending to a minimum when it comes to housing.

One thing I would love to see for housing is customizable Crown Store skins for certain existing functional items. Imagine, for instance, if you could apply a skin to your Armory table that changes its appearance to suit something like a Clockwork-inspired build, or an Apocrypha-inspired build. Same thing for stuff like crafting tables. I know a few different designs for crafting tables already exist, but they're prohibitively expensive and limited in options. Imagine if you could just apply a cheaper skin that changes the style of your existing writ-purchased crafting tables into any of the various styles that exist in game. Druid, Clockwork, Apocrypha, Dwarven, Ayleid, etc. Would be awesome.

    Very nicely done!

I haven’t bought the Snugpod house because saying I don’t like Wood Elf style is a gross understatement.

I actually am not hugely fond of the Clockwork style but it definitely works here. I have done some “technology retaken by nature” builds in another game and they are satisfying to do.

    Thank you!

One of the nicest Snugpods I’ve ever seen also strays far away from the Wood Elf aesthetic:

What’s nice about the home is that all that vertical space can be used quite creatively, and if you can figure out how to cover up the walls in a satisfactory way, it can be a bit more visually appealing.

Nice! I’ll have to see if I can come up with something once I finish my current projects.
