Did we get anything for 10 year anniversary?

I wasn't around but still had sub? Seems like nothing much has changed. Just wondering. i think June 8th will be the end of my subs.

Yes, we have gotten a lot of things.

There was a free giveaway of Wrothgar and the Thieves Guild.

There was endeavor events that awarded bonus endeavors. First for stealing/killing and then for housing.

We got a house as a daily reward. They have also put crates in the daily rewards.

The anniversary had weapon style pages that were very rare (I did not find the grind for them pleasant, but that another kettle of fish).

We are getting an achievement skin for anyone who has done all of the quests. This will be permanently available.

We also got a couple of costumes and a mount. They were Wrothgar themed.

Imperial City, Wrothgar, Thieves Guild, and the Dark Brotherhood constituted the first year of dlc.

They have been releasing a lot of free goodies for playing. The log in dailies have had nice things, the crown store has had lots of free, or inexpensive, items. There was the Jubilee event, which in my case, gave out a whole lot of nice things.

The new expansion also drops next month.

Whatever else, getting Wrothgar for free was seriously good. This is far and away the best expansion. The earnable costumes and mount were the icing on the cake.

Thanks to the introduction of Kotu Gava in thieves guild, that expansion isn't much fun for me. I've also never been able to get into the TG quests.

Just an explanation as to why I think the rewards revolved around what they consider their Year 1 DLC.

The very first DLC released on August 31st, 2015. So, one year from that would have been August 31st, 2016. Dark Brotherhood dropped in May of 2016. So, the first year of DLC were those 4.

Imperial City has been free for years. As part of their 10 celebration, they also gave away Wrothgar and Thieves Guild. And they gave a discount on Dark Brotherhood.

They didn’t do a giveaway for the 10th anniversary day for two reasons. Firstly because they are celebrating the 10th anniversary all year long. Secondly because there’s no one day for everyone. There’s PC early access launch day when a lot of us beta pre-orders started, and then PC open launch day, then console pre-order launch day, then console open launch day.

So back to the first point they are celebrating all year by consistently giving things away instead of any one anniversary day.

They updated them at some point - the brood mothers no longer spawn babies. Not as much of an annoyance.

You missed the server Planemeld event followed by a community meltdown when some players got upset at ZOS for being too generous in their compensation!

Oh I see I got a 10 year badge on the day I signed up for forums in May, even though I signed up on forums March 30, 2014. What is the official launch day of game? I still had sub but didn't log in until a few days ago. Exactly when did mount go out?

I might be wrong.
Orsinium was available for free in the CS for most of March
Same with the costumes, but you had to do some Orsinium quests for them to appear as free.

The mount, I think was only available for 5 or 7 days. Can't remember though.

I found all of these giveaways really useful on my new account.
This is the sort of player recognition that works. I haven't enjoyed the free crates approach that much.

In March there was both a daily login mount and another which required you to have completed the Wrothgar main quest.

I guess I was hoping to log on and find something for players that have actually been here for 10 years. I guess you would have to figure out what the 10 year mark is? Probably anytime in 2014? What I envisioned was finding this mount in my mail box. A mount that would be a dynamic rainbow version of the Luminous Meridian Charger and the Harrowstrorm Destrier. (I do have and LOVE both of those mounts). A mount in dynamic rainbow colors of pink, blue, purple, green, yellow, orange, red .... all shades of a rainbow, glowing and changing. "The Rainbow Charger".

LOL. I guess this is more like "The Dream Charger". Thanks ZOS for ALL you have given over the years. New houses are really nice btw but sort of hard to top the Grand Psijic Villa

There was a new anniversary event quest this year as well and an anniversary mount purchasable with event tickets.

There are also two free houseguests available in the crown store for anyone who has completed certain housing achievements. They are only there until the end of the month, so get them now if you're interested!
