I know I found it lacking that there was no visibility to what was going on at the top of the ladder, so here are the deck combos I frequently encounter when I match up against opponents who are consistently in the top 5 on the PC NA ladder. I'm mainly posting this as a reference for those that want to improve their ToT play. It's information I wish I had known sooner.

Power Rush
Orgnum + Pelin
Orgnum + Hlaalu (threatens patron win as well)
Orgnum + Psijic (to counter a Rahjin pick)

Deck Thinning Focus and/or Rahjin Strategies
Rahjin + Red Eagle
Rahjin + Mora

Combo + Power/Prestige + Easier Patron Victories? (I'm actually not sure how this one plays out)
Hlaalu + Crow

I noticed there's also a lot more emphasis on patron victories too from top ladder players. It may sound obvious, but 2 patrons favors and 2 neutral patrons is just a Tithe draw away from a win.

I hate it when someone picks Hlaalu and Crow. Get ready for lots of gold, RNG based wins, and playing chicken with the Crow patron. Pass.

Though when someone does go with that, they better like the Mora/Rajhin decks. Because why not make it even uglier.

You know your game is healthy when people are just trying to win as quickly and degenerately as possible.
    Don't tank

Hlallu lets you boost the gold generation of crow and also lets you destroy cards once they no longer are needed for better combos.

Thanks for the clarifications on Hlaalu + Crow. I've tried a few games with it and prefer it over Crow + Red Eagle.

I actually don't mind these deck combos too much although I can see why they can promote unfair gameplay. It just seems to be how ToT is designed to have this quick acceleration in advantage.

There is probably enough evidence to say that quick acceleration in advantage is on purpose and it is clearly the worst part of the game since, more often than not, it means that one player crushes while their opponent durdles around.

Crow is by far the most picked patron. By far. 4/5 players that pick Crow also pick Reachmen as it‘s the simplest patron combo for wins. It gives even subpar players the possibility to climb high on the leaderboard. A patron that‘s generally never picked is Almalexia, Rahjin also is a rare pick.

If crow is oakensoul then what is the druid deck?

I love it when people pick Hlaalu. I immediately know they want the cheesy patron victory so I hard counter the pick with Psijic. Can't patron victory if I don't leave agents on the field ;)

My personal favourite combos are Pelin and Reach for straight-forward power, Crow or Psijic and Rajhin for sadism, or Druid and Reach.

I hate Orgnum, the whole game turns into spamming that one patron every single turn. Boring.
