ClockWork CIty daily is bit heavy duty for the just daily mission.

Gather 3 ornate trait gear is too much heavy work for the just daily.
I don't want to spend such a long time per day just only for the ClockWork daily.
My playing time Mon-Friday UTC13:00-16:00 [PC-NA] CP over2000 now.
I have [1Tough tank] [1StamSorc-DD] [1Necro-DD] [1Real Healer]
with [1Stam Blade].
But, I'm Tank main player. Recently I'm doing Healer.

I don't want to spend such a long time per day just only for the ClockWork daily.

    So don't do it.

Otherwise, it might be a pain to find three pieces of Ornate on a specific character on a certain day if you don't already have any on-hand, but if the Blackfeather Dailies are something you plan on doing often, it's extremely easy to set yourself up by storing Ornate gear from your other characters in the bank, so you have a constant source of Ornates without having to search it out.
And you don't actually have to search it out -- you can get Ornates from Daily Crafting writs. Save them and put them in the bank.

(You can do the same kind of thing for the other Blackfeather Dailies as well, but since those require different categories of stolen items, it's character-bound, and will take up some inventory. But keeping a small store on-hand of the types of items requested can save you some time and search effort.)

The Blackfeather Dailies don't have to be a headache unless you choose to make them so.

The first time I did it, I think I bought the ornate gear from the guild store for 100 gold each.
It's a tradition, or an old charter, or something...

Agree, did them in addition to crafting writs for anniversary event, store up some Ornate armor and some stacks of the trash material and you just has to summon a banker and collect.

Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

If you do the daily crafting writs, it's easy to get Ornate gear.

And if you don't get enough pieces, try checking the Buy Back tab of the NPC merchants (or your merchant assistant, if you have one) to see if there are any pieces of Ornate gear available to buy back from them.

Also, since Clockwork City has 3 other dailies, the blackfeather court is pretty skippable if it's not convenient on any given day.

Make sure you steal whenever you can - top up on the games and dishes. You can launder them to put them in your bank, they still count (and they are NOT character bound, so all your chars can contribute laundered goods).

Keep a low-level crafter - it doesn't matter what level they reach (i.e. level 50), just don't put skill points into material knowledge. When you do your writs you will often get drops of low-level ornates, worth between 14 and 28 gold, put them in the bank.

Crispy items I have no problems with - foul hide, carapace, husks... I have 200 of each in the bank. You'll pick them up just playing the game.

Ectoplasm, essence, supple roots I find more difficult. I remember when spriggans in Wrothgar always dropped them, and they were simply vendor trash. Now they have a value, drops are more infrequent (confirmation bias?).

If you run out of anything then relax, you might get them as a consequence of doing what you really want to do. Otherwise there's always a new daily tomorrow :)

TL/DR: As others have said, collect them when you get them, put them in your bank, pull em out when you need them ;)

Low-level crafters produce ornate gear by the bucket load that is practically worthless but useful for blackfeather dailies, if you prefer to farm the ebonshadow motif rather than buy from guild stores or are going for the associated achievement.

Other stuff from blackfeather/crow dailies in cwc like the cookery, games etc trash was, I found, easiest to accumulate via levelling thieves guild from the daily/repeatable tip board ("countess" quests).

As others have mentioned the other trash just self-collects normally; I recall running out of ectoplasm but the delve (shadow cleft?) has loads floating around, if needed and doing that delve related daily anyway.

I only go check the crow if I happen to have 3 ornate armor pieces from other sources. If it's one of the other fetch quests, I just sell the armor and won't visit until the next time I have 3 ornate pieces.

Heck, you don't even need to build crafting alts specifically. Crafting Writ dailies don't even require you to put any skill points into any of the crafting skills. So any alt will do if your main didnt't get 3 out of the dailies.

I did the Blackfeather Court dailies for months using the rewards I got from an hour or two of Covetous Countess quests for the Thieves Guild. The quests take minutes, and if you get toys, dishes or cosmetics, there are 10 in each bundle 🙂

I keep all the Crow daily stuff needed in my bank. Ornate gear, Games, Grooming, Utensils, Ecto, Essense and so on. When i do thieve troves and get stacks of ten i launder them and bank them for the daily.

      Best of luck.

If you have an alt who does daily crafting writs and doesn't ever sell to the NPC merchants except to sell off any Ornate gear from the daily crafting rewards, you can jump on that character and buy back some of the Ornate gear they'd previously sold. The Buy Back tab is unique for each of your characters, meaning character A's Buy Back items won't interfere with character B's Buy Back items, and each character's Buy Back list is persistent no matter how many times you log on and off-- you just need to buy back anything on the list that you want before any additional selling of items pushes the oldest items off of the list, since the list has a limit of (I think) 12 items.

If you treat every crow quest as an independent event and start from scratch, it is kind of tedious and annoying. But if you intend to do the crow quest every day, you can just remember to hold onto the necessary items as you come across them during your gameplay. Then crow quest becomes one of the quickest and easiest dailies in the game that way. Just take the quest and immediately turn it in with items you have been stockpiling.

In keeping with the lore of the Blackfeather Court, the quest encourages and rewards thieving and hoarding. But if that is not your game style, the reward coffers are identical to the reward coffers given for the Exarchs' Egress world boss quest and the delve quests in The Shadow Cleft. So there are no unique rewards from the crow quest that you cannot get from other more traditional daily quests.
